Fenix Jiu Jitsu MMA offers a clean and welcoming facility with ample mat space. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making it a great place for people of all ages and skill levels to train. The gym's Jiu-Jitsu program is particularly impressive, with a strong emphasis on fundamentals. With a variety of classes available and long hours of operation, it's easy to fit in a workout. The gym is also family-oriented and open to visitors, making it a great option for travelers or those looking for a change of pace.
I visited the Fenix Jiu Jitsu Gym today for their 5:30 class. It was an amazing atmosphere, and everyone was super welcoming. The rolls were awesome and they treated me like I was apart of the crew. Once I finish moving up here this summer, this gym will be my home gym!

Jason and the team at Fenix Jiu-Jitsu were super friendly and welcoming to my daughter and I who were visiting from out of town. Not only did they provide us with good training while we were in Hickory, but they also helped my daughter warmup for her tournament because she didn’t have a training partner. 10/10 recommend.
Simply put Fenix is the place to train if you're in Hickory or the surrounding areas.
Not only does it's Jiu Jitsu hold up all across the country, but the people there are second to none. The environment is accepting, inclusive, and warm for all walks of life.
Obviously people train for any number of reasons, and if you respect the students at Fenix, they'll respect you right back. I've spent the last 5 years at this facility and can genuinely say the environment grew me as a person.
I couldn't recommend Fenix enough, and I hope after you read this and join you'll get out the same experience I have. See you on the mats!
