We went here for 2 years. I feel like their staff made us feel bad about our care... We adopted a pitiful stray and they kept talking about how bad her teeth looked and inferred we weren't doing enough to take care of her and it made us feel like we had done something wrong even though we had JUST gotten her. We kept reminding them she was an outdoor stray previously. Our other cat they said needed his teeth cleaned. They quoted us over $1,000 and (I felt) made us feel bad when we declined the service as we had a newborn and couldn't afford something preventative that was that pricey. We just took our male cat to Animals R US and they said our cat's teeth look great and gave us a clean bill of health! If you want a vet that will catch every minor thing with your pet, they are probably great for that. But for others that can't spend thousands on every preventative thing or special food, I would recommend going somewhere else. I think suggestions are fine, but pressuring and guilting when(it turns out..) your pet is fine is frustrating.

Dr McKee and his staff of veterinarians and assistants have been "ours" for 10+ years after we adopted a standard poodle with existing health issues. They were terrific with her then and have been for her whole life. Her older "sister" - also a standard poodle - began going downhill with age related issues a couple of years ago and, earlier this week, we had to say goodbye to her. The good people at Apple Valley and Dr Stephanie Spring were wonderful, taking care of us as well as our Josie. We can't say enough good things about this practice. There have been very minor hiccups along the way, but concerns were handled quickly and professionally and did nothing to dent our confidence in them. If specialist care is required they will point you in the right direction. Our two remaining standards are and will continue to be in their care.

We have been going to Apple Valley Animal Hospital for over 15 years. The vets and staff may have changed throughout the years, but their quality care and compassion remains consistent. I am confident in their abilities when entrusting them with my best friends.

I recently moved to Hendersonville, and needed a new vet for my dog Moose. Unfortunately the move hasn't been easy on Moose, but after seeing the staff here hes on the mend. I called and got an appointment within the same day. Everyone was so nice. Dr. McCall answered all of my questions/concerns, never making me feel rushed. ?

Left this vet after a couple negative experiences. An appointment for a sonogram was canceled but no one bothered to inform us. So we made a 25 minute drive ( one way) for nothing. The vet prescribed a med and we were told they would call in a couple days when it was delivered. No call. When we called them, the person that answered didn't have a clue what we were calling about. We were issued a medication in a 30 mg dose but the written label on the box clearly stated it should be a 10 mg dose. Also, the written prescription called for a 10 mg dose. The follow up to the medication is supposed to be a follow up test 2 weeks to a month after starting the med. No such follow up instructions were given to us. And finally, now that we are seeing a new vet, a telephone request for our dogs' records was made and the person at Apple Valley stated they would send them later that afternoon. Two weeks later our new vet still hasn't received the records.

I have a terrified-of-new-people rescue mare, and Dr McKee has been the ONLY person able to walk up to her without her needing sedation. I trust my horse's instincts. Thank you, Dr McKee, for taking care of my 'kids'.
