Gene's Barber Shop ? is great down home barber shop. Friendly professional staff know how to cut men's hair. Completely professional and most of the guys have been there a long time. Frank, Ben, John, Joseph and the new guy. Call and make an appointment is the best way, you can drop in and they will try to work you in but it's better to call ahead. On Spring Garden St about half a mile before UNCG. I've gone there for years and will keep going to Gene's Barber Shop.

I was bouncing around shops then found this one. I have to say that it was one of the best cuts I had in a while. The old man did a good job and was great to talk to. The barber shop itself was clean and everyone was friendly and funny at times. I would recommend anyone to come in and give them a try.

A rare and pleasant find in an old-fashioned barbershop. Friendly, professional barbers offer every expected service for a reasonable fee. Walk-ins are acceptable, appointments are recommended. I've been a regular since moving to Greensboro in early 80's, I believe you too will return; it's a comfortable place with a welcoming staff.
