Today is April 17th. I dropped my taxes off last week to get them filed. I have heard nothing from electrophile. I don't know if they've done my taxes or anything. I've left multiple messages, no response. I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm almost in a state of panic. I've never experienced this kind of ghosting before in my life!

Be aware that the changes in staffing this season have diminished the quality of customer service provided by Electrofile. Be aware that the office provides out of state (Ca.) checks when providing their tax refunds. They are not offering or making aware to customers the option of getting a refund directly from the IRS and paying in person for the preparation. In the past that was offered as an option. Customers are automatically asked to sign an agreement prior to tax preparation which opts them into extra fees for getting a refund check from Electrofile's parent company. In the past the office has offered clients the courtesy of cashing their refund checks through Electrofile's local bank for a ten dollar fee. This year they no longer offer that as an option. They will not inform you of this policy change until after you have had your taxes prepared. Woodbridge bank at Walmart is who they direct you to cash refund checks now. Woodbridge will charge a 1-2% fee on any refund check. In my experience with their service this year, when they were asked to clarify their fees and policies both before and after the tax preparation I received conflicting, vague, dismissive responses from the new preparer, and the receptionist. The latter was extremely rude when our concerns were expressed to her. We had an eight year + history of using them for preparation.
