“Not sure where to start. I haven't visited a hair salon in over 15+years, because I normally do my own thing with my hair, not having much confidence in anyone. However, I needed my hair cut and style, so I started surfing the internet, and came across Black Pearl. The reviews did it for me, so I decided to give Ms Tina a shot at it. I went there with a very open mind, hoping for the best, but at the same time expecting anything. Let me tell you, Ms Tina was amazing in every sense of the word. She was very warm and inviting, very knowledgeable in her field. She works magic with her hands. To say the least I was very impressed the way she handled her skill. “I recently moved to Durham and knew that I needed a new hairstylist. I found Tiffany at the recommendation of a family member. We had an initial consultation to discuss my hair concerns and Tiffany was very attentive and knowledgeable. I'm leery about who I allow to do my hair but I had a feeling she was someone I'd be able to trust with my crown and I was right. My hair had been through some changes and while it wasn't majorly damaged, it was in need of some TLC and Tiffany provided that. She took the time to listen to my concerns and desires but also offered suggestions based on her expertise. Within 3 months of going every other week, I noticed a vast improvement in both the condition as well as the length of my hair. I came to her relaxed but I expressed that I eventually want to get blonde streaks so she is putting me on a plan to safely transition my hair from relaxed to natural and black to blonde. I am so glad that I found Tiffany. She is easy to talk to and knows her stuff when it comes to hair. Her shop is clean and well decorated and has a welcoming atmosphere.
