I visited their new location, and it was a great experience! I showed up a bit early and they accommodated me, and I got a great hair cut (a few inches shorter, which is what I wanted)!

Altered Image is a wonderful hair salon! I've been going there all the way from Southern Chapel Hill for years. It's worth the drive to downtown Durham because of the lovely people there. Hailey is the best hair cutter and I love chatting and laughing with her. Jeff is also excellent. Their staff is stable and their prices reasonable.

I went into Altered Image a few days ago and Vana did my hair. She was patient and kind and did quite a fantastic job! I had boxed colored it myself about 8 weeks ago. I had gray roots, and a total blob of Covid hair. She did my roots, foiled in lots of beautiful shimmery high lights. she cut it wet, and then she cut in some layers dry. She is extremely excellent at her craft. I highly recommend Vana and Altered Image Hair Design. I finally found my go to hair person in Durham! Services: Hairstyling
