I was then called back rather quickly and met one of the sweetest young ladies you would ever want to meet. Caring, kind, and quick to ask are you okay, do you need anything? Then I met Dr. Will Curtis. Same atmosphere. Very thorough with his explanations and actually gave me choices instead of just ruling it as an extraction. He ended up removing the tooth pain free. Five If you need a homey, at ease please for dentistry, you are doing yourself an injustice by not visiting the staff and Dr. Will. “Yesterday I had my regularly scheduled cleaning. “Meagan” (my regular hygienist) was being assisted by new colleague “Addy”. As always they were very professional, started right on time and made me feel comfortable for the entire process. They even recommend a “water flosser” and gave me some guidance on how best to get one. Another great visit!

The next day (today, 8/14/24) I had an appointment with Dr. Runde to address a cavity that was found during cleaning the previous day. Again, totally professional and made me feel comfortable for the entire procedure explaining everything she was doing as she did it. 100% pain and stress free. Danajiah assisted Dr. Runde and was also great as she prepped me for the procedure. My appointment was at 11:40 am, they took me back early and my procedure was completed by 11:30, two minutes before my actual appointment. I love Loveland’s Cornelius and highly recommend they to anyone of any age. Every person I have ever had any type of encounter with was GREAT! (including the very busy Dr. Loveland!)

“February 28th this year I was struck in the face with a 60mph baseball. This caused some extensive damage to my lip and teeth. Every single dentist I went to told me I had no other options but to pull the affected teeth. To give you a little back story, I struggled for a very long time with a fear of dentists. Just being in the office, sitting there waiting would cause high anxiety sometimes leading to panic attacks. Over the last 15 years, I have visited over 9 dentists, trying to overcome my fears and address dental concerns that should have been addressed starting at the age of 9; I am now 31. With each dental office visit and consultation, at no fault of any dental professional, I often felt out of place, I felt nervous to smile, to speak, let alone to open wide and allow them to inspect. Due to dental issues early on in childhood, it was an intense self esteem and emotionally overwhelming fear to face.
I first stumbled upon Smile Savvy Cosmetic Dentistry via their Instagram social media page @drdrewlyons_drjoyalyons. I took advantage of their free online consultation because hey, I didn’t have to be there and show them in person! (?) This consultation gave me productive feedback, along with some words of encouragement to bring me in and begin taking baby steps. Fast forward, 2 years later, I FINALLY was “brave” enough to contact them and make an appointment. I was seen that same week.

My first visit, I waited maybe 5-10mins in the waiting area. The staff greeted me with a smile, never making me feel…”out of place.” (Which was clearly very important to me). We completed X-rays and an initial consultation to address the best approach for a transformative smile (little did I know). We sat down, discussed a plan, saw images, negotiated on best quality and was given several payment solutions before any work was started. Jumping ahead 5 weeks, I had a new smile…and what felt like a new “lighter” feeling.
To say my smile is the only thing that’s changed is not giving enough credit to the incredible dental work practiced by Dr. Drew. It’s an investment to yourself, an investment I owed to myself years ago and now - guess who walks into the dentist with a smile?
As much as I hesitate to share my results, it does no justice to read this far and not see for yourself.
