For context, I trusted a stylist out of town to color my custom wig unit for my birthday. When the wig shipped to back to me completely different than what I ordered, I was in shambles. The color was blotchy, the hair was orange and brassy and the dye was fading with each wash. After spending over $1k on the unit, I knew I didn’t want to toss it, so I called Nini and asked if she’d be willing to help.

Other stylists refused to take on the project and I don’t blame them. But Nini took her time with me, walked me through the entire process, and wouldn’t take a dollar until she delivered something I felt confident in.

In the end, she did what I thought was an impossible task of saving my wig all without compromising the integrity of the hair. She is incredibly talented and I will 100% recommend her to anyone in the CLT area. Just look at the photos. The proof is in the pictures.“

“I've been going to a lot of barber shops in the Charlotte area the last few years (almost always good experiences honestly), and I think Rylee has given me the best and most consistent haircut I've had in the area. I've been to Men's Cutting Lounge about 4 times now (each time I've scheduled Rylee), and each time I (and more importantly, my wife) really like the haircut. The first time I went, I told Rylee what I wanted and I got exactly that even though i have a tough time explaining it. each visit since, I haven't had to mention what I want as Rylee has made a note of it and I only say something if I've decided to go shorter/ longer etc.

“I took my granddaughters to D'Carmen Salon, and after seeing how beautifully Carmen did their hair, I decided to give it a try myself. At first, I let Carmen dye my dreads, then eventually made the big chop. That’s when I knew I had found my go-to stylist. From that point on, no one else has touched this head! Carmen takes care of my hair with what I call her growing fingers. And Rosa? She washes my hair so well, I nearly fall asleep every time. These ladies are truly a dream team! Let me tell you, I had dreads for over 13 years. I cut them off and got a very short haircut at a different salon. After just four months, I was done. I couldn’t get an appointment, and the prices were outrageous. So, I came back to Carmen and Rosa, and within less than a year, my hair had already grown to shoulder length. “The braider that I had Tiyah was very nice, we had good conversations and she did a good job for the most part. The reason I'm giving four stars is because she didn't do good with hiding the ends of my hair into the add hair (the ends of my hair is coming out of the braid already, I noticed it immediately once I got home from the appointment) also, the type of gel she used left a big white spot in the back (basically the left side of my head is white towards the bottom) I'll have to rinse it out.

With that being said, I would still give this place another try, but maybe not for braiding. To my knowledge (when talking Tiyah) there are people for certain jobs (if you need braids there's one person for that (her), if you need a silk press there's somebody for that, etc.)“
