“We bought a new house and after two years, the water heater started showing an error code. It still heated water, just not using the energy efficient heat pump. I saw the Celey's sticker on the side of the unit so I gave them a call. The technician I spoke with was very familiar with the problem and said the heater itself would be covered under warranty, but not labor as it had been installed for over a year. That's fair - it's not Celey's fault that the water heater failed. They installed it correctly. However, the manufacturer would need some troubleshooting done before they issued a return authorization. He said that while Celey's would be glad to do it, they would have to charge for a service call and he suggested that I do it myself to save some money. I contacted the manufacturer, and sure enough, they had me run through a series of steps before they determined a full replacement would be needed. I gave Celey's all the information and within a few days they got the new unit from the supplier and called me to schedule the swap. The two technicians that showed up were courteous, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. They had the new unit installed within a couple hours. The longest part of the job was waiting for the old unit to finish draining. I would not hesitate to call them again for any plumbing job in the future.“
