Dr. Lai is fantastic! He takes time with patients, listens and explains, and he treats the whole person. I am so grateful for a provider that treats me as a partner in care and prioritizes long term health goals.The staff are extremely professional as well as knowledgeable. I absolutely recommend Dr. Lai and the Novant Southend Primary Care office. This is how healthcare should be, so please don’t change a thing!

Miss Kayla at check-in was personable, pleasant and very thorough. I was nervous about establishing care with a new provider, but Dr. Lai was kind and direct. His approach is calming and serious with an understanding nature and highly informative in a small about of time. He made sure to establish understanding of treatment as well as opening the floor for questions. I didn't get the young lady's name at check-out, but she was very helpful as well in getting my next appointment scheduled and ensuring to scroll through appointments to find a best fit for me. I'm happy to add these kind people to my care team!

Writing this review after being seen by Dr. Patel because she was THAT AMAZING!If you need a quick appointment - definitely try this location. I booked online and was able to get one next day. Her and Dr. Lai (who also has good reviews below) seemed to both have openings for next week.Regarding Dr. Patel - I came in for a new issue, and she patiently listened to all my concerns. I didn’t feel rushed at all. As a new mom, it’s hard to get out of the house with a baby, and she helped me get my Pap smear, shots, and referrals to other docs all in the same appointment.
