I woke up on a Sunday, short of breath, light headed, and disoriented. Went to the Emergency Room, and was immediately moved to Atrium Main in Charlotte, with a Leukemia Diagnosis out of the blue, clear sky. At 46 years old, it was very surreal and a bit nerve wracking. However, the staff on the 4th Floor Oncology/Hematology section have been amazing. I have been consistently informed of all steps of my care, there has never been a time that I've felt in the dark. My experience was wonderful from the time I've checked in to the time I went home after same day surgery. The Atrium team listened to my needs and responded with grace. My pre-op nurse Tiffany phase II nurse Naomi and the whole OR team kept me informed on what the next steps was and last but not least Dr. Weiss who couldn't believe that I've traveled two hours just for him to do my surgery whom by the way did an outstanding job and now recovery begins thank you Atruim Health......
Today my husband and family ordered a flower for someone we care about that is needing a heart transplant. I explained the situation to Monique Johnson. I found her to be very helpful. She was so kind and caring. She went above and beyond what was necessary to make sure this patient had a nice gift. I really appreciate her doing that. They have a terrific gift shop! Check them out for excellent service and compassionate care too!
