“It’s really weird being the same age as old people!” Ok, so I’m well beyond 50, but that quote on a sweatshirt a friend bought me as a joke for my birthday no longer felt funny when I realized that I somehow shrunk an inch, and had began slouching so much that my shoulders actually pained when I tried to correct what little posture I had left. I was still, however, in denial, thinking my age was so incongruous with how active and athletic I was. But then I started checking myself out as others see me..”peeking” in store windows as I walked by, etc. Talk about depression! Physical therapy was good; and I really committed to it. The pain abated somewhat; but there was no real change in my posture. I needed help. I researched my options, weeded out the weird stuff online and began treatment with what seemed one of the most respected chiropractic practices in Charlotte. No, this is not hyperbole! Dr Waltz has realigned/readjusted my body to an extent that I never thought possible. My posture, the range of motion in my neck, and my appearance, have all been remade to that of someone 20 years younger. I feel like Dr Waltz’s hands never leave my shoulders. They are permanently there, positioning my upper body the way it was meant to be. There are dog whisperers and there are horse whisperers. And then there is Dr Waltz!
Tens, tens, TENS ACROSS THE BOARD! Charlotte Chiropractic Center is my first ever chiropractic experience and it has been every bit of worth it! I was recommended by a coworker and she mentioned how knowledgeable the staff was, along with their kindness. I have always been skeptical when people mention those things because it may not be all the way true, but boy was I wrong! As soon as I walked in for my initial consult, I was welcomed with kindness, smiles (hidden by masks), and intentional rapport. Every staff member has been able to answer any question I've thrown at them without hesitation. I've always been skeptical of chiopractors in general, but after dealing with intense neck pain with no relief from other forms of treatment, I decided to give it a shot based on a friend's recommendation. Dr. Waltz and his team won me over my very first visit! Dr. Waltz is so kind and attentive, knowledgeable, and has produced incredible results. I was really impressed with the treatment process, and the fact that he took x-rays, scheduled a consultation and laid out an intentional treatment plan for me based on my individual needs. He does a great job of giving the patient the knowledge they need to be an active participant in their own recovery and long term matinence. I'm a firm believer that aspect is the key to a healthy lifestyle. It's nice to feel genuinely cared for instead of feeling like just another patient recieving a theoretical "bandaid" in the revolving door that are so many doctor's offices nowadays. They also excel at offering convenience. I know I'm not alone when I say that my health has often taken a backseat due to a busy schedule. I love that they have open time windows that I can pop in for an adjustment when it's convenient for me. I also love that they have a neuromuscular massage therapist on staff--she is also very knowledgeable, welcoming, and very talented. The whole staff reflect the same compassionate attitude as Dr. Waltz--I don't know if I can honestly attest to have experienced such a well rounded team in any other healthcare facility. All of their services have affordable options too. I absolutely feel like I get more than my money's worth at Charlotte Chiopractic Center.
