I want to start by saying the registration staff and nurses were genuinely kind, patient, and supportive throughout this experience. They were the bright spot in an otherwise very stressful situation. However, there were several serious concerns with my son’s oral surgery experience that I feel other families, especially caregivers of individuals with special needs, should be aware of. We were instructed to arrive at 9:30 a.m., only to later be told the surgery was actually scheduled for 11:30. Disagree with the very negative posts above. I do not have any experience with the ladies they mention, but I can say that my overall experience in the last 30 years with the UNCCH Dental Faculty Practice has been positive. Yes the wait times are long. But I have never had a complaint about the quality of the work performed there.
