Tim spent considerable time looking at the tree, its roots, and canopy from multiple angles. He was very thoughtful and presented us with a good news/bad news summary of the problem. The unexpected diagnosis was the 30 yr old tree was suffering from lack of water. We'd imagined an infestation of insects, fungus or something else invading it!! Nope...it was just dying of thirst!

His solution to try to return it to its prior health and beauty was simply a soaking hose and thick wood chips mulch. Further, to prevent our Redbud and Norwalk Maple from the same fate, Tim suggested we install the same solution around them. He recommended reassessing the tree in the Fall and again next Spring to see if, and how much, its growth pattern had changed.
