I’ve had a wonderful experience with the staff at Meadowmont Animal Hospital while caring for my elderly cat.
The reception team (Samantha and Lydia), in particular, has been phenomenal. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure my cat’s needs are addressed promptly and with real compassion. I’m truly grateful for their kindness and support.

My fur baby Yayo was treated and cared for exceptionally here at Meadowmont. He had GI surgery to remove a squeaker that he swallowed from his toy. The surgery went smoothly and did not take long. The staff even reached out the next day to check on his progress. They saved my dog Yayo and I am extremely grateful for their help.

You will not find a more caring, compassionate and professional group of doctors and staff ANYWHERE. There is no one that we would trust with a furry member of our family more than Meadowmont. They were there to celebrate the good times, and through the toughest challenges we faced. We are forever grateful for them. Winston will always love you all.

Dr. Gordon is by far the least detail oriented, worst at giving advice, worst at doing his job vet I have ever come across. He disappears from the office 1-2 times a week, doesn’t return calls, and doesn’t do his job. Taking your pet into his care you must be on him to actually get it down. If your pet requires surgery you must practically hold his hand like a puppet to get it down. And in the end when he knows he’s in the wrong he just disappears.
The front staff is the best in the world. Dr. Gordon is a waste of a vet. What damage and stress he has caused will never be forgotten.
Edit: After a couple visits they ride a thin line between doing a good job and trying to up sale and take advantage of scared pet parents.
They do their job well and are nice. Highly recommend.

Meadowmont Animal Hospital is the MOST expensive vet in Chapel Hill. 80$ for an exam and the DR barely touched my dog! 70$ for a box of forta flora and I ordered it online for 33.00. If you're rich and don't mind spending a ton of money, then this is the place for you! My dog had diarrhea and I spent over $500. Never again

This all happened back in February, and it has taken me some time to write this review because the whole process has been so emotionally difficult. Losing Thunder, our 15-year-old best friend, was one of the hardest moments of my life.
The morning it happened, Thunder was acting strangely and vomiting, and I just knew it was time. We were panicking, our regular vet was not answering, and every emergency clinic we called could not see him. Finally, we reached Meadowmont Animal Hospital, and they told us to bring him in immediately.
When we arrived, the staff sprang into action. They came rushing out with a stretcher as if Thunder were a VIP or even the president. Meanwhile, I was holding him through a seizure, realizing I was about to say goodbye to the bestest boy. They got him safely onto the gurney and inside, and just minutes later, Thunder passed.
What stood out most was how empathetic and caring the staff were. Thunder had never been to Meadowmont Animal Hospital before, and we were strangers, yet they treated him and us with tenderness, respect, and compassion throughout the entire process. They refused to charge us for the visit and patiently walked us through options for handling his remains. I wanted him cremated, and when I asked if I could put down a deposit and have a week to come up with the rest, they said it was absolutely fine. I left the clinic with only a piece of his hair and his collar, heartbroken.
The next day, we received a call from Samantha, the vet tech who had helped us. In an act of overwhelming kindness, she covered the remaining cost of Thunder’s cremation and even upgraded the box his remains would be in. I was completely blown away. Her generosity and compassion went far beyond anything we could have imagined.
I will forever be grateful to Meadowmont Animal Hospital and especially to Samantha. Losing Thunder was devastating, but the care, empathy, and extraordinary kindness we experienced made an unbearable situation as gentle and dignified as possible. They treated Thunder with the love and respect he deserved, and they held our family’s hearts with equal care.

The good doctor removed a growth that we all feared might be cancer. She was the image of compassion and concern, a feature that too few of our vets have demonstrated under similar circumstances. Today she called us with the news from the pathologist that it was just a virus. You could hear the relief in her voice. If you value both competence and empathy when you need them, you’ll find them at Meadowmont Animal Hospital. I cannot offer any higher recommendation.

They saved our hedgehogs and were so fast and helpfull they also sent us a fantastic note after they helped them heal if your animal meed assistance this is the best vet in nc
