About Great Clips

Great Clips Chapel Hill offers affordable haircuts for men, women, and kids, with various hair care services including haircuts, beard trims, bang trims, and shampooing. They are open evenings and weekends, with no appointment necessary. Customers can walk-in or check-in online to skip the wait. The staff is described as friendly, attentive, and caring, with one stylist, Ron Carden, being particularly praised for his professionalism, entertainment, and genuine care for his clients. Many customers appreciate the expertise of their stylists, especially Angela, who is known for her skill in cutting curly hair and providing styles that suit each individual. While the overall customer service is friendly, some reviews mention that the quality of haircuts can vary, with a few customers needing to retouch at home after their visit. Despite that, convenience keeps many returning, even if some are unsure if the price is always justified. The shop could benefit from an upgrade to match the high level of service some clients experience.

I cheated on my hair stylist. And I’m not sorry. Woke up having a bad hair day and feeling an irresistible urge to trim my bangs with my kitchen shears. Instead, when out running errands, saw this Great Clips and thought how bad could it be? At least they will have sharp scissors! Popped in and was greeted by the loveliest stylist (hot pink hair - please forgive my inability to remember names) and was sitting in a chair within a minute. She asked so many questions about how I wanted my bangs trimmed, and checked with me as she snipped, making sure that I was happy with the result. Such a skilled stylist, and a delightful person. 10/10 experience.

Very satisfied with my experience! I was in and out in 10 minutes - so quick and easy. I just needed a trim and I left with exactly what I asked for. Angela was my stylist and she did a wonderful job. She was kind, professional, and skillful. Would definitely recommend her!

Angela is the best! She is the only person I trust to cut my hair. I have naturally curly hair and she knows exactly how to cut it and how I like it! She is the very best!!
