Alexis is so great! I saw her for pelvic pain and I was very nervous going in- but she put me at ease from the first visit. She is very knowledgeable and has incredible bedside manner. I highly recommend empower pelvic floor PT to anyone needing PT services!

I have been working with Alexis twice now- once at her former practice and now with her at Empower. She is super down to earth, funny, uplifting, and knowledgeable as a pelvic PT. It’s exactly what you want as a patient when coming to Pelvic PT. She helps you feel comfortable where you are while encouraging you with the right steps to get to where you need to be. I am so grateful I found her!

From Empower Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

Pelvic Floor PT is a specialty area of physical therapy that focuses on the pelvic floor, which is composed of a group of muscles that support your abdominal contents and make up the base of your core. Sometimes they become weak, and sometimes they carry too much tension. Anyone with pelvic pain, weakness (that may present as incontinence or pelvic pressure), or tension (pain with sex, urinary frequency, vaginismus, and even constipation) could benefit from a Pelvic Floor PT evaluation. Pelvic PT is especially important during pregnancy and postpartum. Physical therapy focuses on the muscles of the pelvic floor and achieving optimal function within these muscles to eliminate symptoms.
