About Starpath Dance Academy
Starpath Dance Academy, founded in 2013, offers dance classes in Cary and Apex, North Carolina, for children as young as 2 years old through to adults. The academy provides a variety of dance styles, including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Pointe, aiming to give students a well-rounded dance education. Each year concludes with a recital at the Carolina Theater, giving students a chance to showcase their progress and confidence. Parents have expressed that the teachers at Starpath are experienced and patient, especially with young children. They do a great job keeping students engaged and teaching routines successfully. Many reviews highlight how children start with little focus or confidence but after a few months, they improve in following instructions, memorizing steps, and enjoying their classes. The classes, particularly the Starlight Tots and Starlight Kids, lay a strong foundation for developing a love for dance and music. Children gain confidence and shine on stage during recitals, often smiling brightly while performing. The atmosphere is described as fun and engaging, with students encouraged through rewards like stars and positive reinforcement. The owner is praised for being responsive and helpful, ensuring concerns are addressed. Overall, Starpath Dance Academy fosters a supportive environment where students enjoy dancing, grow in skill, and build confidence in their abilities.
I was skeptical to start my daughter in dance lessons at 4 years old, but she expressed a love for dance so we gave Starpath a try. Their teachers really understand and know how to work well with children. I'm amazed at the patience they have with the young age groups and how they can not only keep young ones engaged in a class, but also manage to have relative success in teaching them routines. When my daughter started at Starpath she had a hard time focusing and doing what the class was told to do, but after a few months she was focusing and following instructions better, memorizing steps and routines, showing off what she was learning to us at home, and having a blast...read full review
When my daughter started at Starpath she had a hard time focusing and doing what the class was told to do, but after a few months she was focusing and following instructions better, memorizing steps and routines, showing off what she was learning to us at home, and having a blast with the music and activities incorporated in class. Students are awarded with stars and get a lot of encouragement. They performed their recital at the Carolina Theater. I thought my daughter would be shy on such a large stage, but the teachers gave them multiple opportunities to get a acclimated to it and had practiced with the students so much that they did great. I was so proud to see my daughter front and center in her group on stage performing her choreography and smiling brightly. She loved the experience and is now half way through her second year at Starpath. I love seeing her grow as a dancer and have a great time in class with her friends. The Starlight Tots and Starlight Kids classes have been a great foundation to develop her love of dance and music. Now when she dances, she performs the choreography confidently and really shines.
