I’ve just had a lesson at Fred Astaire Dance Studio in Apex with Kirill, and I can confirm it was absolutely worth flying in from the UK for, although my feet are currently questioning my decision. Kirill is incredible. Calm, patient, and somehow able to turn what looked like a medical emergency into something vaguely resembling dancing. At one point I’m fairly sure I invented a brand new step, he very kindly pretended it was an international dance move. I left with more endorphins than I get from my wobble board… I imagine it will take me a full year to recover and practise, so Kirill, I’ll see you again this time next year (assuming I’ve mastered the Salsa “left” and “right” by then). All in all, a brilliant experience. Highly recommend, especially if you enjoy laughing, moving, and occasionally questioning how your own legs work.
I've been taking lessons at Fred Astaire - Apex for several years, and it's always the best part of the day when I go. The instructors are wonderful and supportive.
We have been dancing at FADS for about 6 months in preparation for our kids weddings. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. We have learned a lot and enjoy practicing at the Friday night dance parties and group lessons.
