My son has taken saxophone lessons from this gifted instructor. Not only does Mr. Billington do an excellent job teaching, he does it in a way that inspires his students. I highly recommend!

John was my son’s alto sax instructor for many years. Even with my son at 25 I can still hear him now playing inside. John’s methods are highly tailored to what it takes to get to NC state level competition and he has a long list of students who have excelled over the past 20 years. He is also a man of integrity and very reasonable to deal with. Highly recommended.

My name is John Billington of John Billington Music School (Bach to Bebop). I’ve been teaching private classical and jazz instruction for saxophone, flute, and clarinet for over 18 years in the Research Triangle area. I currently have openings for new in person or remote learning students. I’ve had middle and high school students regularly place in the All-County, All-District, and All-State bands. I’ve had RAFA flute division winners. I’ve also had students successfully audition and participate in the Triangle Youth Jazz bands. I’ve successfully prepared students for college band auditions. My success as a teacher has been both via in-person instruction and recently via remote teaching.
