John Billington taught me saxophone lessons for nine years, beginning when I was in 4th grade and ending when I graduated from high school. He taught me to play alto, tenor, and soprano saxophone.Mr. Billington is truly an expert musician. He taught me more than the standard repertoire that most young musicians learn to play. Together, we worked on classical music and duets, as well as jazz music and improvisation. John was my son’s alto sax instructor for many years. Even with my son at 25 I can still hear him now playing inside. John’s methods are highly tailored to what it takes to get to NC state level competition and he has a long list of students who have excelled over the past 20 years. He is also a man of integrity and very reasonable to deal with. Highly recommended.
