I want to share a story about Mike. But also my eye doctor who gave me the exam(older gentleman with fatherly aura - please forgive me for not remembering his name!) and the sweet lady who helped me pick frames(name redacted - brain malfunction).
I showed up to my appointment, heart racing and sweating, almost 15 minutes late. What they didn't know was that I've been having a very bad day and had been receiving bad news one right after the other.. I immediately let the gentleman at the front know that I was late and apologized, but unfortunately I had gone past the grace period of 10 minutes so they had to let the next people go ahead. Their next appointment was not until 230. With a vet appointment at 4, today my only day off, and leaving out of town the next day I begged him to contact me if anyone canceled sooner. He looked at the computer for a second before he decided to let me have a seat in one of the chairs and wait to see If his 1230 showed up. this, of course after he schooled me about how important it is to be on time for appointments and a very fatherly way. He still did everything he could. I watched 2 Appointments who came in a bit early show up and I started to lose hope. Just as I was googling to see if I could find a quicker appointment, Mike called my name and asked if I had been there before. He was making time for me when he absolutely did not have to! I knew from the moment I walked in I was asking a lot of them because being late for an appointment sets doctors and specialist back. He was extremely kind and I know I thanked him two different times but I wanted to thank him again because I would not have been able to get this eye exam done anytime soon if it had not been for Mike.
As for my doctor, whose name I do not remember, but whose face and kindness I will never forget, he was a real gem. He not only helped me understand my eyes and the way they work in connection with my brain, but he gave me a lot of assurances about my vision since I have been struggling with it since I was a kid. He was empathetic yet transparent. He gave me a lot of answers and was very patient With me. He didn't get up or try to end the session until he was sure that he had eased any of my worries and answered all of my questions so I'm truly thankful to him.
The woman who helped me select my glasses and get them started was also extremely kind and played the role of fashionista as she helped me select my frames. She gave me her opinions and Never tried to hurry me along. She was kind and I caught her complementing or joking with people who were walking in and out of the store.
Overall, I had a great experience here and because it is in my hometown, when I am not on business trips, I will definitely be coming here for my eye exams or for new frames and contacts. While I was there, I saw a lot of regulars come in that they seem to treat like family. Highly recommend you go here for your glasses or your contacts and bring your kids! I truly cannot be more thankful. ?

Under zero circumstances, should you use this location of America's best contacts! The staff is incompetent when they are there and most days they are understaffed and asking you to bear with them. They frequently do not have enough staff to dispense your glasses on weekends and they do not notify you that they don't have staff to give you your glasses Before you show up on Saturday. This is happened to me twice.

The Cary staff is really professional, accommodating, and friendly. The prices are amazing. I literally save hundreds, every time I need services, vs going to pricey chains or independent providers. They have all the same services, and up to date styles / designers as more expensive options. I've been using AB since 2019, and have always been happy with the service and products. Thanks for everything.... CP

Easy to get an appointment. They send out three reminder texts too, very nice. Good price for a very thorough exam as a new patient. Eye machines are excellent...staff and doctor explained every step. Eye glasses are priced pretty well in line with everyone else. Lots of frames. No complaints!
