Virginia primarily uses accupressure-based techniques which are highly effective for relaxation and gentle correction of painful areas. Her work is serene and systematic, ensuring thorough coverage of back and shoulder regions. Long holds with barely-there hand contact (energy work) are hypnotizing and regenerative. She also performed some gluteal/hip releases that were very helpful.
My massage was nothing short of fantastic; I was genuinely shocked at the effect she was able to achieve with a slow and soft touch, rather than a heavy "kneading" massage like I've had from other practitioners in the past. I have an extremely tense neck/shoulder area, and so I normally tend to believe that I NEED the heavy style of massage, but Virginia has proven me wrong in that regard. I came in with a terrible tension headache and pain up and down the right side of my neck, and I left feeling light and relaxed, a feeling which has continued into the next day. I'll definitely be returning!
This massage was so relaxing. It was clear that she really knew how to utilize pressure points to facilitate her massage. Definitely more of a gentle massage that a super deep one, but it was just what I needed and I left so relaxed and physically better. I will be coming back!
