There is so many great things that I can say about my appointment at Woolfson Eye Asheville! Dr. Todd and her entire staff are great and filled with knowledge. LASIK SX is the way to go. My vision was 20/200 and after LASIK SX it is now 20/15. It's one of the closest things to a miracle when it comes to vision.

Left a LASIK consultation with Dr. Todd after being repeatedly pressured to share my appointment with another patient despite clearly declining. When I chose to leave, she followed me into the hallway continuing to push the consult and stating I was a candidate for surgery. I did not feel my boundaries were respected and chose to seek care elsewhere.

Dr. Woolfson does fantastic work and goes the extra mile to make sure that his patients are well supported before, during and after the procedure. Dr. Todd and the wonderful ladies in the Asheville office make sure you feel welcome and cared for. Nothing stuffy or intimidating about visiting this office. Just decent folk who provide excellent service in a clean environment.

The consultation was easy breezy. The day of surgery, I finally watched the prep video on my hour drive in. I was supposed to watch the week before, HOWEVER, I’m so glad I waited. Dr. Woolfson was so funny and easy to relate to in the video. He’s just as comforting in person. My favorite part was being in a three person group with an oncologist getting her eyes done. Dr. Woolfson asked us if it was ok before he shared information on why we were there so she could understand our different difficulties. I LOVED that he took the time to educate in addition to answering all our questions. The procedure was quick. In the recovery I questioned why I hadn’t done this earlier, I’m 34 years old and have wanted it since I was in my 20’s.
Times have changed and the procedure was over 80% less than it was when I looked into it 9 years ago. I woke up the next morning amazed. It’s been about 2 weeks and every day I wake up euphoric that I don’t have to find my glasses or worry about how many contacts I have left. My biggest reason for getting the procedure was my anxiety of something terrible happening in the middle of the night and I wouldn’t be able to find or see my toddler. Now when I hear pitter patter in the middle of the night (her looking for me), I can SEE her. I can SEE the mood she’s coming in with.
At my one week checkup at my local doctor my eyesight was 15/20. The whole team was fantastic and accommodating. My daughter has lovingly named her wolf, from a goody bag post surgery, Kota. She plays with my glasses and pretends she had surgery too.
What she doesn’t know is how fortunate I was to wake up the next day with no pain and was able to resume my day to day life as her mommy, but also be able to see the beauty she sees everyday too. It feels like a miracle. Dr. Woolfson is the miracle maker. You have all changed my life and I could never thank you enough.

I had LASIK here about 10 days ago. I would recommend Woolfson for anyone who is interested in getting the procedure done. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Woolfson was kind and he explained what he was doing each step of the way. The whole thing last about 10 minutes. So far my follow up appts have been quick and I'm healing correctly.
