Initially, my pet rat was referred to Dr Bolt by my regular vet due to a worsening condition. Dr Bolt's knowledge in treating exotics is second to none. His practice has the specialized equipment necessary for diagnostics and medical treatment of very small pets. Dr Bolt's exams are thorough and his knowledge immense. After a detailed explanation of the issues he found with my rattie, he presented me with several treatment options depending on what I felt comfortable with. Dr Bolt is now my go-to veterinarian for all three of my rattie boys. I cannot recommend him enough. And huge hugs to Michelle and LeighAnn at Sweeten Creek Animal and Bird Hospital for being the sweetest, most caring ladies!! A friendly voice on the line and bright, welcoming smiles in person mean a lot to me, especially when my rattie boy is having a difficult time.

We had a great experience, my rooster had a bad toe and it needed to come off. They took care of “Tom Petty the Turken Rooster “ like he was one of their own. So glad to find an avian vet. Our Rooster is home recovering and will be back out watching his ladies in no time thanks to the good people at Sweeten Creek.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Just took my snake for an exam. Best vet I’ve been to in a LONG time! All the staff were so friendly and I could really tell and feel that they loved there jobs. Dr. Bolt was so knowledgeable and answered every question I had about my snakes illness. Everyone made me feel like my snake was in the best hands!

Extremely kind staff. I brought an injured songbird to them. I knew it was probably hopeless, but from the first phone call asking for help, they were extremely helpful and kind. Even during this time of Covid, I really felt the personal touch. This was a situation of an injured bird that I found. They were very willing to look at the bird and see if there was anything that could be done. They actually fit me into the schedule. They kept me totally informed and even though the bird didn't make it, I could tell the staff really cared. If I needed a veterinarian, I would certainly consider them.

She was helping the owner/vet at Animals R in Flat Rock NC and treated my dogs and me very poorly. We were trying to establish a new patient relationship and also address some issues. Much more to story .I felt I I should review because she didn't treat me or my dogs properly . She was unprofessional and showed poor manners. Maybe she thought it was the fair thing to do when you decide not to treat.
