My husband and I have been going to Dr. Cahan for many years. He has always helped us with any problems we have had. We have both had cataract surgery as well as other surgeries performed by him and we have been very happy with the results. We feel Dr Cahan is very knowledgeable and caring. From the moment you walk in the door, the staff then the doctor and nurses, make you feel welcome. You are important there and not just a patient among many. While the staff here has always been very polite in professional, after several years of being a patient I can no longer tolerate Dr. Cahan’s elitist attitude. Every time I have my eye exam I take my prescription with me to get glasses at one of the cheaper chain businesses not because I want to take business away from Dr. Cahan but because I can’t afford to buy glasses that start at $200 just for the frames. I can only afford my eye exams because they are 100% covered by my insurance but glasses aren’t.The first few years he made comments about discounts at his office but didn’t push me on the issue.
