The Hughes family not only trained him thoroughly enough to become a black belt, but supported him through competitions and cared about him as a person. This is the only serious martial arts school in AVL. I say that because they teach. They really teach. They build genuine teacher student relationships and they develop leadership and self awareness in all students. They understand that culture is more important than trophies and they don't flatter students when they fail, they both encourage and drive them. Finally, they teach you how to handle fear, injury and hesitation. Truly the best community in town.

This place is amazing! Small class sizes, affordable, and a lot of personal instruction. The instructors are very personable and friendly. My son has been going to classes for 9 years and still going. He loves it!

Been with Jung Kwon for over 4 years now, amazing environment with great teachers and students. Helped tremendously with my ADHD, self confidence, and fitness. This is real martial arts with real self defense against weapons, hand to hand, and everything in between.

I have trained in martial arts the majority of my life. I got out of traditional martial arts and was looking for a school to try, I went to all the schools in the area and this is where I landed. The instructions is top notch the students and instructors are awesome. This is a good place for everyone of any age to train in martial arts for whatever your reason is.
