Never finished punch list, never finished my porch as promised and paid for, didn't give me my refundable deposit back, many many other issues. I had referred people here especially when I thought they would follow through but they never did, they left so many things undone, unfinished or poorly finished and skipped off into the abyss :(

It's sad how you, John and Terri do business.

I only gave it a one because that's the lowest i could. If it were up to me, it'd be a big fat 0. I had my home built and moved in in September of 2022. The company has yet to complete necessary repairs including walls and ceilings from settling, the master bathtub which has been cracked since I moved in, my front door which has been cracked since delivery and set up of the home. The company has also failed to provide items that were included in the home such as window and patio door screens. We have also been promised reimbursement for things we paid for out of pocket which were the responsibility of the builders including gravel for the driveway, septic system covering (it was left uncovered for months and months), and wall repairs we had to make prior to even moving in. These people and their factory are crooks. Steer clear of this company at all costs. It has been nothing but a headache and a runaround the whole time. I've given them the benefit of the doubt and listened to their lies and excuses for far too long now. I am in the process of hiring a lawyer to represent me so that I can finally get the house I paid $330,000+ for. I have heard enough lies from this company (Terri and John) and they refuse to give me the number to the factory. They paint a wonderful picture during the buying process to reel you in, then after the building starts, it's a nightmare. Lies, lies, lies and excuses. When I reach out for answers, I get no response or some made up garbage to shut me up. If ever needing a home built in the future, I would not go with this company or refer my worst enemy to them.

As I stare at the massive crack in the ceiling that is beginning to fall, I thought it might be time to give a thorough review. In January of 2021 we signed with home crafters on our forever home. I really wish we would’ve went elsewhere. I would never use this company and am glad to hear that it is no longer in current business. The owners are highly unprofessional, and will not take responsibility for anything. They do not hire reputable people to do the sub work and it ends up a mess. We had to get a state inspector involved in April of 2022 when we still were not in our home due to the company’s inability to hold up their end of the contract. Thanks to the state inspector, home crafters had to at least fix the damage that made our home unable to pass inspection and damages that were not considered “cosmetic”. Cosmetic wise our home is a mess. It is so sad. I have cried and been mentally and physically exhausted over what was supposed to be our forever home. We did not get into our home until June of 2022, when the estimated move in time was September of 2021. This negative review is not written in hopes that the owners will read it a reevaluate their behavior. If that were the case the minute they stepped foot into our wreckage, that was supposed to be a home, they would’ve actually done something. I am writing this review in the hopes that if this company is to ever reopen to save someone else from the heartache and stress. Please spend the extra money and go somewhere else. I wish we would have. It will be years and thousands and thousands of dollars to just get our home to what it was originally supposed to be.

Everything that was promised to be fixed was not. The things that were "fixed" only needed to be fixed again with no good results. They just dont returning your calls and say they are busy.Service: Home building

PATHETIC customer service. Buyer beware. Also they try and block comments and reviews so who knows how many more are out there! Truth hurts sometimes Teri and John, do better.

Great choices and great value! The pandemic has caused problems but the customer's come first.

Once they had our money, they were not to be found. Still waiting 3 years for window screens that were missing. Won’t return a call. From the beginning, John kept saying, “all is wonderful”. No it wasn’t. When we moved in, the kitchen sink had no water flow; the jets on the jacuzzi tub didn’t work; and 3 electrical outlets didn’t work. I had to fix those issues myself. I waited 3 years to post a review because I was giving them time to provide my screens. Time’s up. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!

Buyer beware. This company, especially Terri, was a complete nightmare. She had a great sales pitch but the moment that contract is signed nothing but delays, excuses, lies, being ignored, unprofessional attitude and a flat out horrible experience. We closed 11 months after the date on the contract and not one step of the whole first home buying experience was positive. I am working on a more detailed review with our whole story and evidence of the horrible customer service we received but I just wanted to at least say something now and hopefully save at least one person from having to go through the heartache and emotions we did. Just a warning if it's too late, document everything. Save emails, texts and record anything she says because I guarantee you will need to go back to it at some point. And make sure if you are owed money at closing you get proof of an amount because she only pays back what she believes is "fair" and not actually accurate. She states her customers are not obligated to have receipts and said we had "unrealistic expectations" on what was fair or true in her building timeline.

We had a modular house put on our property by Home Crafters of NC. John was with us from the beginning to the completion. All the work done on the house was done well. The subcontractors did excellent work and in a timely manner. John made sure that the steps to get in the house were low at one of the doors That was very important to us. We enjoyed working with John and Jerome as our house was being done. All questions and calls were answered quickly. Terry who sold the house to us included some things that we would not have thought of and are glad she suggested them for us.Services: Design
