I cannot recommend James and Tara highly enough. As someone exploring acupuncture and cupping for the very first time, I was a little nervous and skeptical I would be able to find relief. However, I felt truly heard when sharing my history, which made a huge difference before even beginning treatment. James is exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, and compassionate.
I’ve gone for seven sessions now, and their care has helped me take a much more holistic approach to my health. In combination with the treatments, I’ve been able to focus on lowering my stress levels and becoming more mindful of my body mechanics, like improving my posture and being careful with how I lift weight.
While my chronic pain isn't 100% gone, both the overall intensity and frequency of my extreme pain have reduced significantly over time. Finding this level of relief and wellness has been absolutely incredible.

Acupuncturist James Whittle has been treating my bone on bone knee for the past 5 weeks. I had been experiencing low grade chronic pain for the past year. I visited an orthopedic surgeon who diagnosed osteoarthritis in both knees but the pain was experienced mostly in my left knee. I had quit playing pickleball and long walks over steep inclines and declines. I discussed possible knee replacement but want to find less invasive treatments. I talked to Acupuncturist James Whittle and he said he could not cure the osteoarthritis but he has had success with managing the pain. I want to say after 10 or so treatments, the pain is significantly decreased and I am playing pickleball, working out and going on long walks. The inflammation has decreased and my knee mobility has increased. I highly recommend Acupuncture with James Whittle at Blue Ridge Acupuncture.

I came to James suffering from intermittent tremors. Primary care and neurologist where unable to help, prescribing on med after another each one with worst side affects. Working with Jim through acupuncture and a specific herbal formula and changes in diet he suggested, the tremors have ceased and overall health is better.

I've been to many massage therapists in my lifetime and I have to say that since finding Tera at Blue Ridge Acupuncture, I don't need to ever go anywhere else. The atmosphere alone is enough to make you want to come back again and again. The treatment she gives is always spot on and she knows exactly what you need. The clinic was a very safe environment during covid and still is. They made all the necessary adjustments to keep it that way. I'm a regular patient of Tera's for a few years now and she is always consistent in her care... I like deep tissue massage and she provides just the right amount of pressure for me every time.I've also had acupuncture with James who is also extremely knowledgeable, professional and just a few sessions with him relieved my joint pain and improved my physical well-being immediately.The office is always clean, quiet and welcoming!

I find both of them to be complete professionals and also very caring and attentive to my needs. I am a highly active individual & enjoy high intensity kickboxing & spin classes. Tera & James keep me in top shape. I haven’t slowed down on my daily activities even as I’m aging. I also love the convenience of having two highly trained & knowledgeable healers in the same place.
