Super friendly staff, very straightforward with pricing, and just a great vet. We've been going here for years and love them!

They are the absolute best. Always so kind and gentle with the animals and willing to meet them where they’re at. My #1 reason for recommending them is their transparency with pricing. You’ll get a price estimate at the beginning of the visit and before any tests are run. This is our forever vet!

My cat was a new patient and this was during the time of Thanksgiving and Christmas so the office was closed quite a bit during that time. My cat was very sick and I really needed help. I had lots if bloodwork done and his prognosis was not good. I took my cat to Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) since I had no alternative during those days when Asheville Veterinary Associates South were closed many days. They apparently have no on-call staff to help. I desperately needed the results of the last set of bloodwork they took before they closed for several days for the holidays. When they returned on a Monday, no one called me. I waited until Wednesday afternoon to see if they ever had results. They already had results but not concerned enough to call me. I requested a copy of the results and Jessica (front desk clerk. I assume) kindly sent them to me and said that the doctor could call me. I said don't worry about having the doctor call me back...that I would read the report and understand it on my own. I never heard back from this veterinarian group at all. No concern for my cat. I paid all bills owed to them in full the days that I had services and treatment for my cat. I will definitely find a more caring veterinatian group for the remaining cat that I have.
My boy, Sam, is now deceased from his severe sickness. I guess if they had ever checked back with me, they would have learned his outcome but, never bothered. Is this the type of Veterinarian that you would want to treat your animals?

I have been taking my cat Mimi to AVA for many years...I only have had good experience with several of their vets, and lately, is with Dr Dry, a young, clever, warm, compassionate veterinarian, she understands my issues seeing my beloved Mimi getting old..not easy.

I can’t thank you all enough for helping us get our little boy Obie to the rainbow bridge. Your kindness and compassion with him was really appreciated and heartfelt. Hands down best vets office in Asheville.

Dr. Yu was fantastic! She spent a lot of time on our first visit, with my new dog, answering all of my questions and concerns. Brittany, her assistant, was patient and kind to us both. Highly recommend this Vet office❤️

Ive been going here for 25 years, when Dr vegee was there it was the best place to go. I paid $35 for toenail trim and anal glands done. Now it's $50 just for the anal gland suppress. They care nothing about your pets the only care about money. My Chihuahua has been going down there 9 years, and instead of them giving her the anal gland suppress, they wanted to do a full yearly exam and I told them that I didn't have the money for the whole exam. And they said they still couldn't do it. It's a money gimmick now,,they care nothing about your pets. PLEASE BEWARE OF TAKING YOUR PETS HERE,,, MONEY IS THERE ONLY CONCERN,,NOT THE WELL BEING OF YOUR PET.
