During my pedicure, we talked about everything from his family’s journey to America to Louisiana life, history, and even a little politics. What struck me most wasn’t whether we agreed on everything—it was how easy and enjoyable the conversation was. It felt like sitting down with an old friend.<br><br>That kind of experience is becoming increasingly rare.<br><br>The pedicure itself was excellent.
