I can’t believe how lucky I got! I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted, but I walked in and Jennifer immediately complimented me and started asking questions about what I wanted. We talked through it and agreed on the plan I was feeling super confident that I was in good hands. “Overall, I would say I am content with the quality of the haircuts I get here but not overly impressed. Sometimes I feel as though my hair stylist doesn't know how to best handle my finer hair and it comes out looking a little flat and weighed down with product. I prefer to part my hair on the side but she often forgets and end up drying it with a middle part. Last time I was in, she was 20min late to my appointment because she ran out to get coffee, and she was 10min late to another one of my appointments. Last time I was in, I mentioned I had a new ear piercing in and to be careful not to bump it or catch it but she ended up doing just that multiple times during the drying process which was painful and bad for healing. Lastly, though I am a regular and generally come in every 8 weeks for a maintenance cut, I find that I have products and upgrades pushed on me every session and I would prefer if there was a little less pressure to buy things/upgrade. I don't mind being introduced to new products but it often feels like I am being coerced or pressured into buying products/adding treatments and I don't particularly appreciate that. It adds stress to the experience for me.That being said, I really enjoy the Aveda experience here-- being offered tea when I come in is so lovely and the shampoo room is so calming! I am especially fond of the plant wall, and generally look forward to my appointments.“
