Andrew Harmon is the best that there is in what he does... He cares enough about me to listen to me and take my concerns seriously, even when they don't quite make sense in terms of a diagnostic criteria. He has even helped me get in for an MRI to continue trying thing after thing to help my chronic and at times debilitating Migraines, Vertigo, and severe neck pain and nerve issues in my spine and shoulder. I would recommend anyone to him specifically, especially after the amount of providers who have shrugged me off and gaslighted me in this town about my pain behind real and severe!

I was referred to Element because they are supposed to be the experts in treating fibromyalgia, which is my overarching concern. The entire experience was traumatizing. First of all, I was seeking treatment for an acute condition-pelvic floor dysfunction. Neglecting to ask my preference, they scheduled me with a male therapist. When I contacted them about it they changed to a female practitioner, I believe her name is Marylis. At our intake appointment she inquired about my previous physical therapy (this goes back to 1988 when I was injured as a passenger in a terrible car accident. I listed treatments I had received, she asked what had worked best for me and I explained how a previous therapist (trained at U of M) had used a combination of gentle massage and traction to facilitate my success as a 100% disabled on-campus college student and that with her assistance I was able to earn my B.A. and graduated with highest honors. The therapist interrupted me to inform me that "her boss" told her that it was a terrible disservice to offer gentle massage to a fibro patient because it made them "feel good" and therefore, they would not do any of the hard work necessary to maintain function. First of all, I explained that I was not that type of PT patient and have a record of success due to compliance with everything requested by previous therapists, and secondly, it was not fibro that I was seeking assistance in managing at the time, it was Pelvic Floor Dysfunction. I told her I was a college student working on my M.S. She decided that since I was a college student I needed PT on my neck and upper back. Again, this is not what I was seeking therapy for. She had me lay down on an uncovered vinyl massage table with my face in direct contact with the upholstery instead of using a paper or cloth for sanitation and comfort, something that I have never experienced before. Then, she proceeded to administer a painful deep tissue massage (this is NOT DONE with fibro) for a few minutes. This did not relax me, it caused me to tense up due to the pain. Then she CRACKED MY BACK 4 TIMES by hammering down with all her weight on my spine. I objected after the first slam, telling her I was very tense, but she ignored me and continued the harsh back-cracking. When I told my chiropractor (of more than 10 years) what she did he was appalled. To continue, my next appointment was scheduled on a Monday. Over the weekend my pain level was so intense that I had to take pain meds, something I rarely do, because my body does not tolerate them. On Monday morning I was so incapacitated that I called to reschedule my appointment. I was informed that since I was a new patient they would let me slide this time, but next time if I cancelled within 24 hours of my appointment time I would be charged $50. If they are really the experts in Fibromyalgia, as they claim, they would know that fibro flares are unexpected and come on rapidly, and that is one of the life altering facets of the condition-you have to cancel plans and appointments. Over the next 2 weeks I experienced a frightening array of symptoms: pain in my upper back and left shoulder, numbness and tingling in my left arm, all the way down my left side to my foot, terrible rib pain on the left side (I am affected by costO0chondritis which is a chronic condition resulting from injuries to my entire right rib cage and sternum-this was listed in my intake information and part of my permanent medical records). I saw my primary care practitioner and her examination led her to believe I had a pinched nerve due to the rough and inappropriate, torturous BACK CRACKING I had experienced at the Element appointment. My chiropracter confirmed I had a pinched nerve, and over the course of a couple of adjustments, relieved the pain. THIS PT DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT FIBROMYALGIA AND THEIR METHODS IN TREATING OTHER ISSUES ARE ARE ARCHAIC AND, IN MY CASE DANGEROUS. THIS INEXPERIENCED AND PUNITIVE PT HURT MY SPINE AND CAUSED EXACERBATED EXTREME PAIN IN MY RIBCAGE FRONT AND BACK. SHE HURT ME. THIS

I started going to Element Physical Therapy when I was pregnant with my second child. I had severe lower back pain due the pregnancy and trying to also be fun and get up and down off the floor to play with my first born was really taxing on my body. The staff at Element Physical Therapy knew exactly how to relieve the pain in my back as well as give me the knowledge to help prevent more back pain as my pregnancy moved along. Element Physical Therapy saved my back and allowed me to still have fun with my children. I highly recommend them!

Do. Not. Ever. Try. This. Place! They absolutely screwed over my father. Lied about everything from costs to services to availability. It has been the worst customer service we have ever experienced, and the owner is a coward who refuses to even return a phone call. You will regret it if you ever go here.

Update: owner says they do take Medicare medicaid and says I was given misinformation. This information was given to Providence Neurology on Sept 1, 2022 when my Dr's assistant called them directly, during my appointment to inquire why Elements had been putting me off for 3 months without explanation. If there was any misinformation it came from Elements themselves. This information is recorded in my health record at Providence.

Physical therapist Sarah was extremely skilled at diagnosing my rare form of BBVP and knew exactly how to treat it. She was very patient and kind in her handling my unbalanced equilibrium. The office staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this office.

I've been seeing Chris occasionally for years and he's great. Very personable and never tries to sell you a treatment that you don't need. It's also very easy to get an appointment which is great for sudden issues.

Dr. Moore did a wonderful job dealing with my back problems. I have had reoccurring back pain due to weightlifting and other activities. I came in and he found the source of the problem right away and he fixed it over a few sessions. I would highly recommend coming in to see him!
