We are at the tail end of our yurt construction and are extremely impressed with the yurt as well as Shelter Designs as a company. The yurt is very carefully crafted and the kit was meticulously put together. Everyone that was a part of the build and all of our friends and family have remarked at the craftsmanship and love that went into the yurt. Shelter Designs has been extremely patient and helpful with all of my many questions and requests for clarification. Really can't recommend them enough. In an age where customer service generally ends at receipt of payment, they saw me through the entire process. This has been a really amazing experience! Much appreciated!!!

We built our 27 foot yurt 11 years ago. It is well designed and everything fit perfectly. Wonderful craftsmanship. It is a family gathering place in the summer. Hays was easy to work with and a really great guy. Highly recommend Shelter Designs Yurts 🛖

We love our Shelter Designs yurt! It has been set up on our remote property in the Adirondacks for over 5 years now and is holding up great. Though there are a number of much closer yurt makers in the NY area, we chose Shelter Designs because of the option to have their beautiful natural pine logs as poles and rafters which make such a wonderful difference in the look and feel of the interior. The team was fantastic to deal with and we couldn’t be happier with our yurt!

Once we decided to build a Yurt we did our internet research first and found Shelter Designs Yurts webpage was exceptional: videos, content and reviews were all awesome. During the design process, the SD team helped us make critical decisions that have made our life easier. Then there was the delivery and build process, during which the SD team helped coach us through tough moments and specific construction details. Since then, we've built out the inside of our 40' Yurt to include an upstairs, two bathrooms, a beautiful kitchen/dining/living room, a master bedroom, master bath and dog shower in the mudroom. Most people define it as an upscale cabin inside a Yurt. Since it's on a mountain top in Idaho, it is truly a luxury experience. Shelter Designs Yurts will always be our go-to supplier.
