Dr. Adams has been my primary for around 20 years. He was recommended by a friend. Best recommendation EVER. Can’t say enough about Dr. Adams! So thankful for his practice.

I have been a patient for longer than I care to admit to. Always excellent care.

Been seeing Dr Houchin for years and he’s amazing. No surprise that he is a top Doc in the area. He takes time to know each patient. Never rushing through.Years ago he was able to squeeze me in on a Friday afternoon. He got me into an hospital for an MRI and subsequent appendectomy before midnight. (I was told by another hospital system to just come back when it got worse the day before.)Esther is amazing up front as are all the staff. Robin patiently supports everyone calling in for refills (I’m hoping she has a great retirement plan - she deserves it!).Friendly. Accommodating. First class service all around.

I was hung up on twice today both while I was hold and it took forever for them to answer the phone. I had to transfer between the operator and the appointment desk five times to get someone to answer. It seems like at three o clock the office staff just don't want to answer. I think April or Erin is her name the nurse practiconer is amazing, always listens to my concerns was the one who listened to the concern about my ovary pain when the other nurse completely dismissed me. I ended up having to have the ovary and fallopian tube removed. If Lisa would have listened to me sooner that may not have been the case. Erin or April is the saving grace of this place. I was also dismissed by another nurse today about my sinus infection and body aches/cold chills. Her exact words were when sending out a script for the antibiotic were I don't think it will work but ok. I know myself. I get sinus infections frequently and I have had sinus pressure for weeks and green snot and drainage this weekend. This situation was very frustrating while trying to get a work note and deal with unkind, unconcerned and dismissive doctor. This doctor's office does not have competent secretary staff. I will miss Erin or April and Dr. Adams but I am done with this doctor's office. Today was the last straw. I have had too many negative experiences. Update: they sent me my doctor's not through the portal. Tried to access the portal. Was not able to. Called front desk. The portal has not been working for a for a year!!!!!!!!!! So the why in would you just not send it to me in a normal email where I can download it?!!!!!

Dr Adams has been my PCP for close to 20 years. My elderly father has been coming to him as well for about 10 years now. Lisa Burnitt, APN quickly and efficiently diagnosed my dad with two things that were caught early and then treated properly. One of them likely would have resulted in hospitalization if it had been missed. I have personally experienced great compassion from the staff here over the years. It is wonderful not being treated like a number, but like a human who matters!

Dr. Adams is a good doctor and I trust him, when I get to see him. The problem is the incompetent office people. I have been forgotten about repeatedly and other patients go ahead of me. They forget to give my chart to the doctors and I end up sitting in the waiting room or exam room for over an hour. I have walked out of appts because I'm so tired of waiting. They need intelligent office staff.

Dr. Houchin has been my physician for many years. I respect him immensely, as well as his nurse practitioner, Lisa. I'm pleased they are partners with me in my health care. They both know what they are doing; they don't overreact, but they dig until answers and appropriate treatment are found. They refer you to specialists as needed, but manage uncomplicated health care needs within their office as appropriate. The front office staff have always been kind to me. The nurse that usually checks my vital signs and draws my blood, etc. is Sonja. She is also excellent. Pleasant, knowledgeable and kind.I would encourage anyone who needs a primary care provider to consider partnering with Dr. Houchin or Lisa, APRN, DNP.

I went to pick up my prescriptions from CVS and the pharmacy tech advised me that I would not be receiving any refills until I saw the doctor. Luckily enough for me, I was off tomorrow, and called to make an appointment. I spoke with Jenny who advised me that the nurse practitioner was available on short notice, which was fine with me, since she is, in my opinion, a better practitioner than the MDs there. Jenny advised me that I needed to speak to the "prescription gal" (verbatim) and place me on hold. Robin answered to phone asking "Can I help you?" I advised her that I was told I needed to speak to her but I wasn't told why. Robin immediately caught an attitude and advised me ***that my medications were intentionally decreased so I would make an appointment***. So I asked her "So my medications for my health were altered so that I would make an appointment?" She responded "Yes" (sounding absolutely satisfied). She then advised me that I had missed a couple of appointments and the decrease was a direct result of that. Nothing to do with my health. She had, by far, one of the most condescending tones of voice I've ever heard. Needless to say, I called back after speaking with Robin and got Jenny again. I told Jenny what just happened, and she offered to connect me with the Office Manager, Diane. Diane was totally apathetic to the entire situation and all she could say was that doesn't sound like Robin. I'd like to suggest having recorded phone lines. That being said, they will have my medical ready for my appointment tomorrow so I can find a new physician. I will also be reaching out to the Missouri Medical Board, as decreasing someone's medication to force them to make an appointment truly seems like a question of ethical practice.
