TIM's Barber Shop is a quiet, old fashioned one-chair barber shop. Tim is a chill, super nice guy who provides a great, no-nonsense experience. The shop is often busy and worth the wait. He does walk-ins and the service is very fast and doesn't take long. He is known for a quick cut, literally reducing hair volume and length with not much form or styling. He does the best trim and flattop haircuts. He does not do shaves, but he will shave up the neckline in the back with a straight razor. He cuts kids' hair as well. He uses a vacuum attachment or a hair blower to keep hair off you, which helps prevent itching. He is very reasonable with his pricing, currently charging only $9.00 or $12.00 for a premium trim. Many service industry, police, and fire service folks seek his talents. It is a great barbershop and a rare gem in Soulard.
If you want a good haircut at a good price this is the place. There are no frills. You are not paying for 20 screens of mindless sports or a beautiful woman to fein interest in you while she cuts your hair. This place is a old school barber chair, a vet named Tim and his shears, clippers and straight razor. Im sure he can do a stupid haircut if you want one, but why not let him do his job and give you a good one.
Tim does walk ins. Chill shop. Chill dude. Didn't say much. Asked me what I wanted. I realized I didn't know.

He trimmed my mustache a bit more than I liked, but I didn't specify! I'm not really a haircut guy...
Overall great experience. I preferred this experience to most other haircuts i've gotten. No nonsense, just be a man and be prepared when you get there. Charged me 12 bucks but I enjoyed it (even with the slight miscommunication) and tipped heavy. Doesnt take long.
I did get lucky cuz I didn't have to wait.
