I showed the braider a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like and she took it upon herself to do a overhand halo braid instead of an underhand halo braid. I was not happy with my hair at all but I did not express my unhappiness. I did let her know that this is not what I asked for, and I showed her the picture again, and she went on to explain to me that my hair would last longer the way that she braided it. I understand that you are a professional hair braider but when you decide to do things because you think it will last longer then you need to let the customer know. It is my decision to decide whether or not I want my hair braided so it will last longer not because that's what you think I should do. I definitely feel like I deserved a discount but as a customer I do not think that I should have to imply that on my own. That should have been an implication of hers to realize that she did not do what I ask for even though she saw the picture. When you give someone the service that they didn't ask for I don't think that you should be fully responsible for paying full price for something that you do not want.

I recently got my hair braided there and I am satisfied with the outcome. It was a last-minute decision because I really needed/wanted my hair braided so I called in and Touba was really nice and told me I could come the same day. When I got there it was a brief wait because she was working on someone else. To cut through the case my hair is beautiful and she was very conversational which I've never received getting my hair braided. The price is reasonable, and I will be back.

I had a horrible experience with this service as I made an appointment over one week in advance to have my braids taken down along with calling the day before to confirm my appointment all to get there, wait one hour because noone could recall my appointment. Once I was asked to sit in the chair, the lady (with the young child) was very rude as she was using the scissors to not only cut out the weave but also MY HAIR! Once I brought it to her attention, her response was very rude and unprofessional. After cutting through 3 braids, she asked if I could come back tomorrow. I didn't understand this since I previously made an appointment. Needless to say, I left and didn't even think about returning the next day..... or any day for that matter. They really need to learn professionalism and customer service!

I was so desperate to get single braids done and not being in ny you do not know who to go to so I went here. I did however, I checked Facebook and I saw photos that had one image that was very neat and nice. I paid $$$for long braids true when I left the chair and after hearing with the shears the stylist snip stray hair I assumed all is well which it was before I left. but as soon as I went home I actually saw in the mirror my braids, ugh I have a lot of braids that are cut by accident I'm sure from trying to trim the stray hairs. But ironically I have literally not only strays but hair on every braid. Within two days you would have thought I'm on month one. Next thing my braids around my perimeter I did ask to not be right at all, which she told me to hold my hair while she braided. Hair bulbs are around my perimeter so I assume a lot of hair will be coming out which I feared. There were some braids that were doubled or balled up but its nothing I can do. I do not want this to be a total bash but I'm saddened that I paid and my hair doesn't look like it will last before the end of the month and I just got it done. The Braider was very sweet but when someone mentions leaving hair out and the do not want their front of their head right please listen. I am so shocked that my hair is soooo fuzzy now but its nothing to do just had to write my review.
