My long-time therapist is amazing. Was amazing. I'm done with Burrell. In Jan. 2025 I needed my medical records by April. 15. Burrell out sources both Medical Records and Accounting, (both of those companies have a third party themselves)!
Not only did I miss the deadline and lose benefits from my insurance company as a result, but I never did get those records,so BEWARE if you want access to your records.
The billing dept's 3rd party sends a monthly statement and a balance remains there even though I've made payments AND pay when I check-in for my apts... It doesn't affect the balance on my statements. The dispute over this has continued for months and I'm tired...read full review
I've been a patient of the psychiatric department at this practice for over a year. Calling my provider is extremely frustrating. The phone menus are too long and sometimes confusing. The call-in system badly needs an overhaul. When I do reach the correct area to leave a voicemail, the response sometimes takes several hours or often occurs the next business day. Only if I need acute care, this is the only option to get immediate help, which I rarely need. Communication with my provider is extremely difficult to obtain, other than having an in-person appointment. As for scheduling a follow-up appointment, I never get an appointment when my provider wants me to return. Sometimes this is delayed several weeks after the needed time. These issues are terribly unhealthy for a mental health practice and need to be addressed as soon as possible.
How Sarah Madeline is still licensed and seeing clients is beyond me. I reported her for a HIPPA violation. If she is your counselor be very careful with what you say, she will make fun of you with other CLIENTS and share your personal information with them! I caught her doing this. Burrell was notified immediately but Sarah Madeline is STILL seeing clients!
