I work at Private Home Care and they truly do match up the right caregiver for taking care of your loved ones. If ever there is an issue all you have to do is call the office and they will take care of you in a very timely manner. The best in St. Louis for sure. It's taken me awhile to write this review. In August, my father, who had been battling cancer for seven years, finally gave us his fight & came home to die in peace. My mother, sister & I would be his caregivers for the next two weeks. We had zero idea what we were doing, what to expect, what we were in for. We hired another home healthcare company previously & it was an *awful* experience during the one time of our lives we weren't emotionally equipped to deal with an awful experience. At my wit's end with this other company, I stood outside on my parents' porch at 6pm on a Saturday & called PHC, fully expecting to get voicemail or an answering service to leave a message with & have my call returned on Monday. But no, a REAL person answered (Angelo--fitting since he turned out to be our angel, lol), listened to my story of family crisis, took only my first name, phone number & parents' address & told me someone would be at their house in 90 minutes to assess the situation & get us a competent caregiver THAT NIGHT. During that 90 minutes, unbeknownst to me until later, he lined up 24/7 care for my Dad--without even knowing my last name, without taking my credit card number, without me signing a contract. His colleague, Diana, arrived 90 minutes later, as promised, & got us squared away. Their caregiver showed up as promised & the others did as well all the days that followed--with Diana texting or emailing me just to check in & see how we were doing. All were caring, competent professionals. It was clear PHC treats their staff better than the average healthcare company because they were pulling the cream of the crop in the way of caregivers. We ended up having my Dad transferred to Evelyn's House five days later because we were unable to keep him comfortable at home but during our days before that, this company & their staff made our family feel loved, supported & cared for. It's very clear that their hearts are in the right place. I could not recommend them more highly for any time in your life you might need some extra hands--recovering from a surgery or injury, end-of-life care, etc. GOOD PEOPLE.
