I am disappointed. I signed my newborn up here on recommendation and chose Dr. Blythe. I enjoyed the first visit on May 23rd and felt I finally found a doctor who listens and considered signing up myself. The appointment after that in August went well. The next appointment was in June, we had an early appointment scheduled, to which I got a text saying there was an emergency at the office and wondered if we could reschedule for later that day. We showed up at our rescheduled time to both sets of doors being locked and all lights off. I got another text saying Dr. Blythe was running late. I waited another 30 minutes before she arrived. The appointment was fine, but we eventually butted heads about vaccines as I prefer to space them out rather than get them all at once and put my foot down on the matter. Our next appointment was in October. I got a text 20 minutes before the appointment (I missed it because I was already driving there) stating that Dr. Blythe was out sick. Upon arriving, I was told about it, and we rescheduled the appointment for November. At this point, I understand that things out of our control happen. However, I also had a gut feeling that this rescheduled appointment for November was also going to have some sort of issue. Come November, we go into a room, have my son weighed and measured, and then am told that Dr. Blythe would be in shorty. I waited an HOUR before Shana, the front desk lady, came back and told me that Dr. Blythe was having car issues, and if I had no questions or concerns, then we could just schedule the next appointment. I promptly looked at her and said, "No, at this time, I am canceling my services here." She looked worried and asked why, and I said, "I understand things happen, but this is the third time Blythe was late or hasn't shown up at all." I reviewed the contract for cancelation procedures and fully expected to be charged in December since the November appointment was after I was charged my monthly fee and not canceling 30 days before the December monthly fee. That's fine. I agreed to that via contract. However, today, I received an email about a monthly fee for January to February services, which I have NOT concented to due to canceling in November. I called them at 9:30 and was given the prompt to select option 3 for billing issues - upon selecting it, it said that any issues would be adressed in about 1-2 buisness days. I called again and selected option 1, which was to speak with a member of staff about appointments, which also went to a voicemail. At this time, I am blocking ANY transations through my bank and will NOT be recommending anyone else to this establishment. They responded to my voicemail via text while I was on the phone with my bank and voided the next payment, and got an email confirming cancelation. I am keeping the merchant block on them because this is just not professional and I do not trust that they won't try to charge the fee.

Doctor Blythe is absolutely amazing and I can’t put into words the care she provides for me and six of my family members she sees separately. My dad originally just found her through a website to find providers who work with people that don’t have good medical coverage. For the entire time I’ve seen Doctor Blythe over the past six years, I have never even considered see ANYONE else. Even seeing specialists for other procedures makes me nervous because Doctor Blythe has been so trustworthy and kind.

The people in Doctor Blythes office such as nurse Amy, are always sure to make sure my immediate needs are met and always work with me when I meet them with kindness and understanding. Working with patients in the medical field is not easy and they work incredibly hard to accommodate even people who may be seen as difficult - as I’ve seen personally! Amy is also incredibly gentle and someone I feel I can truly trust to speak to before I see Doctor Blythe. She is also perfect at drawing my blood and nobody has ever done that as I’m a tough stick.

I have seen several doctors before her and I have never had my needs met the way she does. She doesn’t just help acute problems but she looks at the full picture considering medical history of family members (even those she doesn’t see) and anything that could hurt you down the line.

Without any bias for me even after seeing me for so long, she is incredibly personable and professional to all patients I’ve chatted with throughout my time when we briefly meet in the waiting area.

Even if Doctor Blythe were to move the Lees Summit area or Missouri (would make me so sad), I would follow her and be a patient even if it meant virtual visits.

Thank you Blue Lotus for all you have done for me, my family, and your patients through my time with you

Highly recommend the entire office. I was heard, treated like an individual and not a number, and I wasn’t dismissed or written off. The whole staff is friendly and kind and you won’t leave disappointed.

My son and I have been patients of Dr. Voss and her team, and we've also seen Dr. Blythe when Dr. Voss was unavailable. The care we've received has always been exceptional. They take the time to thoroughly assess our issues and proactively work to prevent further complications. We highly recommend both providers and their staff.

While the practice is typically busy and could benefit from an additional nurse or medical assistant, and sometimes phone responses are delayed, these are minor issues compared to the outstanding care we receive. The practice offers high-quality, evidence-based medical care at discounted rates, making it affordable even for those without insurance.

We are truly grateful for the Blue Lotus Team and their dedication to making us feel like family. Thank you for everything you do!

Went for a while when I didn't have insurance the Dr had horrible bedside manner and seemed to not know how to read test results so had to have them read else where. Obviously didn't know what to do understandably with my medical issues but i was becoming sicker and she refused to refer I got a second opinion where they were shocked I wasn't referred to multiple specialists with my test results. Had multiple instances where they were incapable of a blood draw. Then when I called to end services I was yelled at and cussed at and hung up on I was in disbelief because I had always been very patient and kind with all staff then had my bank put a stop payment so they could no longer charge me. Very unprofessional and not sure how she has stayed in business except for the fact people are stuck not having insurance

DR Blythe is wonderful. She is knowledgeable, listens, gives options and respects your choice. Her office responds immediately to any needs. Highly recommend and I am an NP in the medical field and speak from experience.

I promise with my entire being that there is not a place that will give you as much care and attention as BLFM. VERY clean and welcoming. They offer an assortment of complementary tea and mints upon entrance. Super friendly and helpful staff. Just a wonderful atmosphere for times when you need it the most. I literally could go on and on praising this place but you will just have to experience the love for yourself!

I cannot say enough good things about Blue Lotus Family Medicine and their staff. For the first time in my adult life, going to doctor is not riddled with fears of being ignored, invalidated, or gaslit. I’m heard and validated and comforted when faced with scary realities. They genuinely want their patients to find relief and answers and help every step of the way to make that happen.
