I visited this hospital today to make a mammogram appointment, but I found out that they don’t offer mammograms here. I wasn’t sure what to do, but the staff at Desk 4 was kind enough to help me and connected me to another place where I could easily make an appointment. Even though I was only there for a short time, it seemed like all the staff treat patients with kindness and warmth.

I do not recommend Dr.Braden. She responds very late to test results and gives very vague answers. If the test results do not pertain to oncology then she absolutely will not answer questions about them. If scans do not show cancer she will not respond about any other findings on the scan so make sure you view the results yourself! She made me feel like she truly did not care about me as a patient at all and her responses to my questions made her lack of concern so much more obvious. I have never had to fire a doctor after 1 visit before but Dr.Braden got to be the first.

Receptionist today was rude and did not help me. I had orders from my oncologist to drop off a lab specimen. The receptionist would not look me up in the system to see my order and she would not contact my palliative care team inside the green hills facility to ask any questions. She just repeated that they did not accept walk-ins. I live 30 miles from the Green Hills KU location, so this was a big inconvenience. My chemotherapy causes bladder infections and I just needed to verify the bladder infection and begin the process of getting antibiotics. The receptionist needs a different position that does not require customer service or problem solving skills.

What is taking so long. Been here an hour. Just for a blood draw and dr apt. Getting mad. I would love to wake them up 3 hours into sleep

No space for a patient to have a support person with them. IV was not attached properly and had a mess all over the floor as a result. No privacy and very loud and noisy. We will go to another location for treatment next time.

The check in staff is always super nice when I come in to get labs drawn, can't say so much for the phlebotomy people, they seem like they need more training on customer service skills.

I was diagnosed 8 years ago with MBC, and for 6 years, I received excellent care at the Lees Summit location. However, once I moved North and my Doctor moved to California, I started going to the Green Hills location, my care has been awful. I've had to fight for everything, and the nurse I mostly speak to could care less - her tone says more than her fake words. They do nothing but make me feel terrible and very uneasy about the care I receive for my terminal disease. I thought I had my issue resolved over the last month but nothing has changed. Be careful trusting your life with this group. So disappointed, and it is definitely time to move to another location. I will just drive over an hour vs the 7 minutes that Green Hills is.

Good care. I wish I could see a doctor and not a nurse practitioner at my visits like I did in the past. My PCP sent me here to see a provider and while I did see her a few times it's now solely the NP and I never see the doctor.

This review is for Lia! She went above and beyond and standard level of service! I hope her office manager or Dr sees this because she definitely deserves a raise! People such as Lia make somethings as difficult as cancer/diseases soo much better and easier to deal with! Her helpful and outgoing attitude was so noticeable and refreshing! I don't ever leave reviews but she was OUTSTANDING! I seriously hope her manager or Dr recognizes what an awesome job she's doing and how pleased we as patients are to work with her! Lia THANK YOU!

Underwent my chemo infusions under the care of an amazing doctor here. When she retired and I began my recovery care, I was moved to another provider in the office. There are not word’s invented to describe how terrible this new provider is.At my first appointment she said she would not refill any of my prescriptions (all of which were prescribed to manage the side effects I was suffering from oncology treatments) and said if I wanted to continue them I’d need to go through my primary care provider. So, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea so bad you can’t eat if you’re not in your own home? Nope. Oncology no longer cares that they’ve caused that. Cancer fatigue so bad you can no longer work? Nope. They don’t care about that either. Pain? You guessed it, you’re on your own. Appetite concerns? Of course not. Finally, I filled a complaint after my new provider (1) scheduled an MRI for foot-drop when my complaint was pain in the bones of my pelvis. (2) constantly tried to invalidate every symptom I experienced and refused to treat any of them. And the final straw (3) charted in my medical record that I was experiencing a major depressive episode after an appointment where we discussed cancer fatigue and (after no treatment) was told that at 39 years old, this will just be my new normal energy level, get used to it. Let me be clear, this is THE ONLY THING WE DISCUSSED AT THIS APPOINTMENT. I have never discussed depression with this doctor. Never have those words be spoken between us. And! The new “normal” I get to deal with is exhaustion so profound that there are days I need help walking the 10 feet from my bed to the bathroom. Anyway, filed a complaint and asked that my medical record be corrected. In response, KU dropped me from their services all together. If you love KU, great. I loved my first oncologist there and the care she provided. If you don’t love KU, don’t complain. The complaint process will only leave you without any provider and with no idea how to now manage your oncology care. Completely unethical.
