I was referred to PT for severe spinal stenosis at C5-C6 C6-C7 as an insurance required prerequisite to spinal fusion surgery. I was losing feeling in my fingers and surgery felt inevitable. After one useless PT appointment, I was even more certain that surgery was my only option. Then I got a referral to Mark Lawhon at Preferred PT Leawood. After two sessions, I started getting feeling back in my fingers. After four sessions, surgery was out of the question. I'm now back to 100%.

If you desire aqua therapy, Dawn at Preferred Physical Therapy in Leawood Kansas is your person to get. She is fabulous. It is quite a drive for me but because she is so good, I do not mind. She changes the exercises every week and keeps it interesting and geared toward you. She only has one client at a time so she can really work with you and your goals. In just 4 weeks, I can feel the results. I am so happy I found Dawn. I had some anxiety with walking down the stairs and yesterday I did it without holding on to the pool rail!!! I was so proud of myself.
