While I had mostly good nurses, there was one night nurse and nursing assistant that left me in tears. I got sick on my bed and they fought me on changing the linens. They refused to realize it soaked thru and I was left with puke soaked blankets until I walked down to the nurses station crying.
The doctors were not helpful what so ever and refused to contact my doctors at the Mayo Clinic for advice on my case. I have 3 rare kidney diseases and the doctors admitted to knowing nothing about them and wanted to try and treat me for a UTI. I fought against this treatment as I knew I didn’t have a uti. The doctor still put the orders in for medicine for a uti even after I said I didn’t want it. The nurse started an iv of said medicine and if it wasn’t for me asking what it was I would have been given that medicine. The doctor failed to listen to my refusal. I requested to be transferred to a hospital that knew my diseases and was told no. So I asked to be discharged instead. After being discharged and going to a different hospital, it was confirmed that my labs showed zero signs of a uti and I needed to be treated for my kidney diseases. Sad I had to self advocate this much in a time of being so sick.

I had the unfortunate luck to have to visit St. Mary’s er over the weekend. what I was hoping was maybe just weird gas pain turned out to be appendix. By Monday morning I was in surgery. Brian and Ali in the er are absolutely wonderful caretakers. Becky, Mark and Kristen in pacu are also the best. They were all very attentive and caring. I hope I never have to visit you all again, but if I do, I know I will be in great hands.

Went there for a heart attack and seizure. The house keeping never came to my room. There was mold on the bathroom floor, and the room was in clear neglect. I changed my own sheets because apparently I had a seizure in the middle of the night and soiled myself and it seemed like it wasn't going to get done. Then the sheets and soiled linen say in the hamper for almost 2 days. When I was finally able to say something the director seemed more interested in throwing me out of the hospital and having me sign that I left ama. Heck no!

I fucking hope this hospital has improved based on the responses they gave me but I'm finally recovered mentally and physically from what Saint Mary's did to me. I really hate the fact that you guys are running like this. Deplorable. The VA hospital I went to right afterwards told me it's a damn good thing I went there, because Y'ALL GAVE ME THE WRONG ANTIBIOTIC!? I'm happy I have medical experience. I feel bad for any other patient that has to go here and has no experience or knowledge. Seriously. You could've killed me a second time. The people overseas didn't even get this close to killing me once, so congrats on being more deadly than terrorists. I don't see a reason not to go into how you almost killed me twice... First time, your nurses kept ignoring my pleas to get this kidney stone removed, resulting in almost kidney failure, which could've severely crippled or killed me due to Burn Pit exposure. Second time, obviously because of the kidney stone, I had a UTI. The different thing is about this UTI is that it can treated with only a few different types of antibiotics. A urologist could see that. I could see that, once they showed me what infection I had. Basically they gave me an antibiotic that wouldn't have done shit and once the infection hits my blood, it's sepsis.

Read me... Record your visits.. I don't know how people that lie to their patients sleep at night.. I went here after I got an infection from another Dr.. apparently they all stick together and lie for each other so the patient d ies and they don't have to worry about it anymore.. I've been sick for last half a year because these people lied to me about my test results. They took a bunch of expensive CT scans , and chest X-rays, and then lied to me about the results.. they told me I'd be fine, right after saying it was life threatening, then gave me 1 weeks worth of antibiotics and sent me home to d ie. I may have cancer from the infection now. . these people are sick in the head and I believe they are trying to end people's lives on purpose and claim it was natural causes or an accident.. record your visits with them. It's legal not to tell someone you're recording them as long as you are in the room and part of the conversation in Missouri. It's a 1 party recording State. Never go here alone. Evil runs the world now, and the Drs here are not good people, even if they talk nice to you.. also get your medical records and review them. They will lie to you verbally but the facts will be in your records. It is necessary for you to file a complaint with the board of professional registration. Needed.. if they lie to you, also contact your insurance company, because they may be committing fraud, the number is on your insurance card, contact the inspector general, the health and senior services department, department of justice, joint commission, and even the FBI if they mistreated you.. you absolutely need to do this.. for yourself and others. Please make these complaints.. also consider filing a police report, even if they won't pursue charges they have to take the report and there will be a record of what they are doing.. take care of yourself, because these people won't help you if you need them...

Went to the ER as advised by my doctor's office to be checked out and make sure my unborn baby was OK. Wasn't aware St. Mary's didn't have a birth center or OB's on staff anymore when I went, but when they said they could go ahead and run tests anyways I felt a little better. I'm only 5 weeks along, and they said they could handle that. Fast forward through ultrasounds and blood work, and I'm being told I have an ectopic pregnancy and I NEED to be emergency transferred to another hospital for emergency surgery because this is going to kill me. They make me take an ambulance to a hospital I'm more familiar with and where I know there are good OB's on staff (I refused to take the ambulance originally, they told me I had no choice and I had to take it). Get to other hospital, ultrasounds and blood work are redone because ER doctor and OB aren't convinced of results. Come to find out I was perfectly fine, and my baby is exactly where it needs to be. Numbers look fine, everything. They almost had a healthy female with a healthy baby operated on because they didn't know what they were looking at. Care while I was at St. Mary's was honestly good, everyone was nice and seemingly helpful, empathetic, I just wish they would've sent me to a different hospital in the beginning, especially since they knew they're not really equipped to handle a pregnant female. Now I have to pay for two sets of ultrasounds, two sets of blood work, and an ambulance ride I did not want because someone read an ultrasound wrong.

I have a major complaint on the ER and not sure where to go to handle it. Would rather not speak to ER again as I feel they actually didn't care about my mom at all. Every time I called, they were annoyed and had no answers for me. Treated my mom as an annoyance when she was extremely disoriented half the time herself which is why I brought her in. A nurse she had left a huge bruise on my mom's stomach trying to take my mom's phone from her. My mom wanted to call me and she kept taunting my mom saying I was home asleep and wouldn't let her call me which is total BS to do. I took my mom there to get help. Not get abused. Looking into who I need to contact now outside of the ER workers. Took her in January 5th in the evening and then moved to the 2nd floor evening of January 6th where she was treated much better. Here is a thought though... If you can't handle caring for people then DON'T DO IT.

My brother was brought to the ED by ambulance! We waited for over 2 hours to even be seen and when we finally were seen, the nurse and the female doctor that was there were EXTREMELY rude to not only my family but my brother. I highly don’t recommend the emergency department!

Do not go here for anything. I wish I could leave no stars, so that no one would ever choose to go to this death trap of a "hospital" seriously find another place to go. They put me on a ventilator for 18 days to get all the money they could from my insurance. I have scars from bed sores, because no one took care of me.. just a terrible place.
