About Missouri Karate Association
Missouri Karate Association (MKA) is a dojo run by International and National Champions in Traditional Shotokan Karate, founded by three brothers who have dedicated their lives to this martial art. MKA offers a welcoming and family-like atmosphere, where students are held to high standards and earn their belts through hard work. The dojo focuses on self-defense and sparring, providing a supportive community for all members. MKA is an incredible place to train. Everyone I’ve trained with has been kind, humble, and incredibly knowledgeable. Classes cover everything from strength and conditioning to high end mechanics. The teachers at this dojo will meet you where you are at, they will recognize your strengths and build you up, while also helping you realize the aspects of your training that you’d like to improve on. I’ve been training with Missouri Karate Association for about two years now, and it’s been an outstanding experience from the very start. What began as an outlet outside of work has grown into so much more: a supportive community, skilled and dedicated instructors, and a dojo that truly embodies the spirit of traditional karate. The classes are both challenging and rewarding, and I highly recommend it to anyone—of any age or skill level—looking for authentic martial arts and a welcoming place to train!
My son joined the Missouri Karate Association 2 years back, now he is in Purple belt and I can see skills, Sensei Sean seems to be one of those instructors who take interest in teaching technique not just the skills. Over all iam satisfied with MKA and their teaching. They also encouraged kids to participate in nationals and bag some medals. Thanks MKA !!!.
