I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Kimberly D. Bleasdale. She was kind, patient, and extremely knowledgeable. She took the time to answer all of my questions and made sure I fully understood everything. I truly felt cared for and supported during my visit. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional provider.

My first meeting was with a nurse practitioner at Park Nicollet, who wasn’t good. She talked to me like I was a three year old. I kept going. The dietitian was very helpful, and my internal med doctor was very encouraging. I lost 13 pounds in one month. Then I met with the psychologist, Jean Thaw. She decided after 1.5 hours that because of childhood trauma, she couldn’t recommend me for the program. I have worked so hard to deal with the trauma, and was clearly working very hard to do well in the program. It was crushing. She knew it was crushing, but didn’t care. During my meeting with the nurse, Candace, she told me to let her know if I had any problems. I left her voicemails, after meeting with the psychologist, and she didn’t return my calls.So disappointed in this program. They claim to look at obesity as an illness, but they don’t. They don’t care about their patients. This surgery could extend my life, and give me a fighting chance. Now I’ll go elsewhere and hope for a better experience, but it’s very frustrating to have worked so hard, and have them disregard that. They turned me down because I was abused…continued abuse as far as I’m concerned.

I worked with these people for almost a year they pulled all the money they could from my insurance I did everything they wanted me to do then right when it came to the end they changed everything and wanted me to do it physically and I've got the worse asthma and a bad back that I need emergency surgery for but can't do it because of my weight so I can't even stand for 2 mins and they wanted me to loose weight physically they were jus gonna try to get more money from my insurance without having to work for it so I went to another place and so far it's working out great!!!!! Worst place ever would only condem them and NEVER recommend them to anyone they don't care about the patients only what they can get threw insurance money!!!!!

Finally found a doctor that sees me and not my weight. I've never felt so heard and understood by a doctor! I was afraid they would push surgery on me. Instead they're going to work with me to change my life style .

I have had an amazing experience with this department. All of the bariatric doctors, psychologists, nutritionists are all heavily qualified to aid patients in their weight loss journey. The gastric sleeve was a painless procedure that has aided me in losing over half of my body weight. A life changing procedure and experience. I cannot recommend this program highly enough.

I have lost over 130 lbs since my gastric sleeve surgery on 12/7/17! I could not have done this without the support of EVERYONE involved in the program. Yes, it is long and very involved, but well worth the effort. I basically just did everything they told me to do. It is NOT at all easy, (and NOT a quick fix) but once you decide to make this very important lifestyle change, the Park Nicollet Bariatric Program is with you all the way!!!
