Level 1 trauma center, but it took 18 days before the spouse could speak with an actual doctor. 18 days.

Dear Mayo Clinc, I was at your Clinic last week for numerous pain and new health issues where I accidentally omitted an employee from my survey who in my opinion was more than exceptional. About two weeks ago, I had a PET scan at the hospital. It is the employee who administered this test to me who touched my heart and stands out as stellar. I had a terrible cough, and the test required me to be as still as possible during the test. This was difficult for me and the person running the test could tell what a terrible time of it I was having. So, as she tested me, she provided me with exact details of the number of minutes each pass would take so that I could cough in-between passes. This helped me get through the test and I am so grateful for this person's kindness, thoughtfulness and for being incredibly good at her job. I wish I knew her name, but I don't. Every single test I received or doctor I saw was exceptional, but this person stood out even among so many great providers and I just wanted to let you know about my experience.

They don't answer questions or call you back even with major meds questions. Can't get a hold of anyone! Worse care ever.

My husband and I traveled 10 hours to come to the mayo clinic for his heart condition that has gotten worse and needs more attention than our local doctors can help with. We got up here and went to the appointment for them to tell us we can't be seen because they don't accept our insurance and it will cost $9,000 out of pocket up front to be seen. We used rent money to make this trip up here. I asked if there were any other options. Payment plans, anything and they told me no. I got no further than that. I haven't been able to speak to any kind of supervisor or anything. They said they called us and emailed but I've thoroughly searched my email, his medical portal, both of our phones and we never got a single notification other than appointment confirmation texts. My husband is dying and they refuse to see him. After we drove all this way on hopes and dreams. Our babies are at home sick and I'm missing work just to be turned away at the door over money.

Urgent Need for Technological Improvements at Renowned Clinic I've interacted with the IT department on several occasions regarding the substandard cellular coverage within the facility. Despite indications of full signal strength, both on direct cellular connections and Wi-Fi (VPN included), the service is unreliable. The mobile application for iOS and Android platforms is notably deficient, with frequent crashes--often three attempts are needed before successful launch. Additionally, accessing appointment information proves challenging as the system regularly fails to locate the scheduled times. As an IT professional, I believe that the solution could be relatively straightforward and cost-effective. Given the substantial fees charged for medical services, investing in signal repeaters throughout the subway system and on each floor would markedly improve connectivity. Such repeaters would ensure consistent cell and Wi-Fi service, enhancing the overall patient experience. While Mayo Clinic offers exceptional medical care, their technical support falls short, particularly in assisting those who are not tech-savvy. It is crucial for patients, especially those above the age of 50, to have reliable and user-friendly digital tools. Given the current state of the mobile application, I recommend printing all appointment details as a backup. In summary, while the clinic excels in healthcare, there is a significant need for improvement in their technological infrastructure and support to ensure that all patients can navigate their system with ease.

Seeked help on my condition, after run around at local hospitals. Installed in my brain that Mayo top hospital. So set appointment, drove over 1000 miles each way (3x), went thru many test and answer was just stressed. Year later the local doctor said I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Had five strokes, relearned how to walk three times, and working with Veteran Administration (VA) so upsets me the selected as top MS hospital, yet they didn't diagnosis in me and I have suffered. WILL NEVER GIVE ANY GOOD WORDS AND WILL NEVER COME BACK!

Where do I start?? I was completely floored by this whole experience. Mayo in itself is overwhelmingly beautiful, well organized and the employees are extremely helpful and friendly. The executive health department is like a well-oiled machine. I have been seeing doctors my whole life on my various issues and I received answers here...finally. These doctors are like no doctors I've ever worked with. I don't know Mayo's recruiting or screening process, but it is flawless. The food and drinks were free throughout the day for patients in the executive health area, which is great when you have back to back appts all day! I was expecting this to be a one and done experience, but now I am planning on returning every year.
