About The Hair Creative
The Hair Creative is a studio known for its kind, attentive, and socially-conscious stylists who do a fantastic and superior job. The space is beautiful, nice, and relaxing. Stylists are amazing, great, and fantastic, specializing in all hair types including wavy, curly, and Black hair. They are skilled at curly haircuts tailored to individual lifestyles and routines. The stylists excel at consultation, asking questions about what clients want and setting expectations ahead of time. They talk through preferences, how hair grows, and cater to specific needs, including mental health challenges. This ensures a perfect haircut and fit, with zero upselling culture. The owner has grown the studio with a stable team, and strong values ring true through all employees, including equitable pricing and community events. Services are relatively affordable, with an initial cut and a lower rate thereafter, plus free trims between appointments. They cut hair for kids and provide a kid-friendly environment. Scheduling is easy online or in person. While parking can be a little challenging, the neighborhood is neat with plenty of space within a short walk. Clients consistently report leaving with a solid haircut they love, often the best they have ever had.
Jes always does an amazing job with my wavy/curly hair. I'd trust any stylist here though. I've been going to the Hair Creative for a few years now qnd I've watch Ginger grow the studio into what it is now. Every stylist who's started working there since I started coming has remained, and each one does a superior job. My spouse gets his hair cut with Jem, and he does a fantastic job every time. There's zero upselling culture, and they're all great at asking questions about what you want and setting expectations ahead of time.
This is THE best place to get your hair taken care of I've ever been to, anywhere. They are kind, attentive, socially-conscious, and relatively affordable. Ginger (the owner) takes care of my cut, and she's just great. $100 for an initial cut, $70 thereafter, and they do free 10-minute trims in between appointments. You might think that's a lot more than Joe Barber, which it is, but they'll take the time to talk through what you want, how your hair grows, feel vs look, catering to mental health challenges (OCD, austism, etc.), and more. The patience Ginger has is so comforting. No more haircuts where you feel like you can't communicate, and leave wishing it was different! They also hold events for the community, workshops for employees for treating all customers equitably (e.g. Black hair, gender- and curly-neutral pricing, etc.), and source their products from sustainable companies (without upselling you). They also cut hair for kids, and have plenty of kid-friendly reading on-hand, to go with your complimentary coffee or sparkling water. Scheduling appointments is easy, either in person or online. Parking is a little challenging, but the neighborhood has plenty of space if you don't mind walking half a block. Give these people your business! The world is a better place for them, to say nothing of your solid haircut.
I love this place! I see Jem and he is great. Everyone is so sweet. I always get a great cut. I followed Jem from his last place of employment!
It's nice and relaxing. I have always had an easy time finding parking. The neighborhood is neat. I always stop by other shops while I'm there.
