Saw the locomotive over the weekend from Chanhassen to Montevideo and the locomotive(s) and rolling stock is really top notch preservation. While we wished there was a little more organization for the Saturday trips we chased (and rode), they have a great crew getting it done and can’t wait to see the locomotive again.
Rode the Friends of the 261 today. What a great experience! My husband and I got a tour of The Shop and saw the beautiful steam engine and the work in progress on the restoration of the coach. A pleasant ride on the upper car to Prescott, Wisconsin and back. Staff graciously served us snacks and items for everyone's kids.
Great staff, pleasant ride...we love trains! Thank you for the experience!
