The prescription I received was poor as my distance was better without the new glasses. DTE tweaked the prescription and it was worse. To get the original prescription back in the glasses, I had to pay $240. Doing business with DTE was a waste of $800+.

Visited in 2022. Eye doc was great. Optical staff just upsells the most expensive frames. Not worth it when you have to pay to get a copy of your prescription for better deals elsewhere through VSP.

The service was fine, and the staff I interacted with was kind, but my experience following the appointment really left me entirely disappointed. Basically if you don't buy glasses from them, they want you to pay $50 for the prescription. I followed up asking for my PD, since I couldn't find the readers recommended at local stores. Their response, the PD wasn't performed in the prescription, which by the way they use the word prescription in place check up/ visit/ appointment. It's very shady and after some online research, an unacceptable practice many places pull.
