I'm from Maplewood, MN and I wanted to go to a local business. Tommy was in Maplewood and seemed affordable so I decided to give Tommy a try. Boy, am I glad I went to Tommy! Previously, I had been to a known name repair entity and was not happy with their customer service and attempts to upsell. My laptop was "stuck" before the set-up screen and would not boot up. On my own, I tried numerous self-help steps that didn't work and knew I needed someone who could complete a better assessment of the situation than me. After Tommy had my laptop over night to assess the situation, Tommy and I had some frank discussion regarding my options. We agreed to use approach A with a fall back to approach B. Approach A did not work, so we went to Approach B. Approach B worked and my laptop (which is important to operate my business) became operable, with minimal software reloads. It has been approx. 2 months since going to Tommy's and everything is going great!
The place is great even if you know nothing about pc building. As long as you give them a price range they will get you the best parts for the build. I got my pc built within one day, going into the buying and building the pc phase. I can’t say that you would also be guarantee the same one day pick up as I did but they make sure to buy the parts and build it within a week. I can’t recommend this place enough. Check them out before buying a pre-built pc.
