“The staff here truly is amazing! When I needed an ultrasound to confirm viability of my pregnancy they were there every step of the way! I was informed of all my options, provided with multiple resources, and given the knowledge and tools to be a more informed first time parent. Not to mention the compassion everyone here has for their patients/clients. I was even provided with weekly videos to help me navigate through pregnancy, labor/delivery, and postpartum. I can not thank this place enough for what they have done for me and the resources, help, and knowledge they have provided to help me become the best parent possible to my child! I only wish they had a staff of full time midwives/OBGYNs/pediatricians so I could continue to receive care here and so could my baby!“
“During the fall of 2023, I had experienced dizziness that lasted longer than ever before. My MD referred me to the NDBC but I had my doubts. My case was not severe but it was beginning to impact my independence. At the NDBC in Blaine, Alex explained the intake process, listened to my descriptions and experiences, TOOK NOTES, determined what testing applied to me, EXPLAINED IN DETAIL AND DEPTH WITH CLARITY what each test would reveal and HOW that particular test revealed what was or was not a factor for me. It was determined I would be a candidate for therapy and a schedule put in place. I had sessions with Erin, who also took notes, explained each exercise, observed, customized, and encouraged! Alex did a couple sessions and an eval that graduated me from the program after only about 12 sessions but with a lifeline for an additional 6 months in case of any episodes. I am better prepared for possible recurrences (I will continue the effective exercises) because of this enlightening experience with two VERY knowledgeable, experienced and fun (!) therapists. I called with my referrals in hand, and was given all the information needed to begin by the intake line. I used to go to the pool at Courage Center and always felt the therapists there were extremely good. It is so nice they expanded to near my neighborhood. I highly recommend this location and Michael Brooks my physical therapist.“
“Dr. Smith is an awesome doctor. Being seen by him is unlike going to a typical doctor's office these days. When I went to Dr. Smith, he spent nearly an hour with me, first listening to me about my problem and then doing an examination. This is unlike going to most doctors who have the nurse do almost everything and then spend at most 5 minutes with you. He doesn't accept insurance, so he can spend his time caring for his patients instead of doing paperwork. I highly recommend Dr. Smith and Orono Family Medicine to everyone, whether you have insurance or not.“

“Inclusive clinic with absolutely amazing staff. Especially the nurses, and Dr. Darnell. They are compassionate and dedicated. They treat everyone as an equal. I got my full hysterectomy here when I was 24. Best decision of my life. They helped me do what was best for my body. Darnell took it as seriously as I did. Other doctors tried to gaslite me into thinking a nine month long "period" and blackouting out due to pain were "normal women things". This clinic saved my life and I am forever grateful. Do not listen to the man who gave this woman's clinic a one star review.“

“This is a nice FREE clinic. They have a lot of support and comprehensive care! You go into the clinic and the receptionists will check you in. You are seen in order of first-come first serve. Then a nurse will see you. After the nurse, a patient care lead will see you. This person will advocate for you and they also have Spanish translators if you need it. If they think that you are at a high risk for kidney disease or have a family history of someone with kidney disease, the medical clinician will order a lab test for you. A lab technician checks your urine to check your kidney function. After, you can go on with your normal visit. There’s also pharmacy clinician who comes up with the best plan for medications you can take. They then go to see a doctor and s/he will come in to see you and give you the prescription. After, they send you to the pharmacy and you can get a month supply of prescription medication for free. The whole process takes 1-2 hours because everyone here is a student volunteer but if you have time, they provide very thorough care!“
“I've had many positive experiences at the lab over the past year. I've been to the lab several times. Like the rest of this facility, it's super efficient, fast, and relatively painless. I've never had to wait more than 10 of 15 minutes before I got service...whether it was a blood draw or an X-ray. The RFID thing always seems to catch me off guard. When you're standing in front of staff at the main desk, they know exactly who you are! Your RFID tag tells them. They still have to ask you and confirm. But still...it's pretty cool. As a side benefit, the 1st floor lab entrance is very close to the piano. So while waiting in the lobby, you're often soothed by the music of live piano, a harp, or (like last week), a guitar player!
